“Antojo Tacos + Tequila is an airy, vibrant eatery offering Mexican plates such as tacos and tequila drinks in a relaxed place. The restaurant is located in the heart of Halifax’s restaurant and entertainment district. This is an authentic Mexican restaurant in Halifax. They specialize in tacos, nachos, quesadillas, burritos and more. In addition, it is a great place to eat Mexican food and margaritas. Must try their Chiles Relleno, which is nothing but cornmeal tempura-battered poblano pepper stuffed with roasted corn, black beans, jalapenos, jack + cream cheese, smoked salsa, cotija + cilantro. They are vegetarian-friendly, and they provide vegan and gluten-free options. Outdoor seating and high chairs are also available at Antojo Tacos + Tequila.

“Mexi's Halifax truly is a Mexican and North American food restaurant. Their food taste originates from the northern border of Mexico and the southern border of California. Their cooking style incorporates simple ingredients of northern Mexico and the blending of spices and flavours of California cuisine. They use authentic products, and their decor is felt and experienced down south. They served nachos traditionally as a single layer with your choice of sour cream or cheese. Mexi's Halifax also has outdoor seating and Wi-Fi facilities. They also serve in Moncton, Quispamsis, Ottawa, Orléans, Hunt Club, Cornwall and Brockville.

2025 Update: Mexi's Halifax offers a happy hour special and has a television in its restaurant. The restaurant offers a kids' menu and provides take-out and delivery options. They accept debit cards for their customers' bills.”

ANTOJO TACOS + TEQUILA REVIEWS

My mom and I walked by here after a long day of travelling and wanted some tacos and tequila! We just happen to out that into our Google search and we were only 3 minutes away. The food was absolutely amazing, waitress was attentive, knowledgeable, quick, and friendly. The atmosphere was awesome, they allow dogs outside on the patio, which is a win in my books! Margaritas are fantastic! I had the fish taco, chicken taco, 3 margaritas (it was margarita Monday and shared a smaller plate of nachos with my mom. Overall great spot and highly recommend and I will be coming back.

Attentive service, a fun Friday night atmosphere, and the food was absolutely incredible. I'm not a fan of spicy food, but something about the hot salsa makes me a different person. So much flavour and taste, everyone at the table for our large reservation was sharing and raving. It was pricey, but you pay for quality, and we sure recieved that. Thanks for a great night, Antojo! I'll be back every time I'm in Halifax from now, onward!

The space is great and the food is great too. The tacos were a good size. Nacho's were really good. They have a patio open year round and it's covered in the winter with heaters in its very nice space. Did get busy later in the night definitely call and make a reservation to make sure you get in.

MEXI'S HALIFAX REVIEWS

It was our first time visiting Mexi’s at this location and we had a great experience. Adam T delivered awesome service and the food was fantastic. Prices may seem a bit high on the menu until you see how much food you get. LOTS of protein, big chunks of chicken on the nachos where some places you have to look for it. I loved how you got to choose between corn or flour tortillas for the fajitas and the taste of the chicken was super fresh. The green sauce on the nachos had a bit of heat to it and it was very good. The only suggestion I have to enhance the dining experience would be to turn the bright lights down at the bar. They were shining brightly into my eyes the whole time we were there and that wasn’t comfortable. Other than that we thoroughly enjoyed our night out at Mexi’s Halifax and will return soon.

My wife and I had a wonderful dinner here. The servers were all super friendly and very attentive. The quality of food was superb. We didn’t have to wait long for the food to come out after ordering. We will definitely go back and highly recommend to anyone who wants good Mexican cuisine.

Never been in that restaurant before. Was pleasantly surprised by staff and food. Food tasted excellent. Never had Mexican food before. Was stuffed after meal. We had their deep fried ice cream for dessert. A must do. Will come again to try out other selections.

SABROSA REVIEWS

Loved it here and food was amazing. If you come during happy hour (I think 2 to 5 pm) all appetizers are half off. The drinks and entrees were really good to. We got our money's worth and enough food for a second dinner. Portion sizes are large and we had a really good experience overall.

Our first time but it will not be our last!! Brent was such a friendly and attentive server, the food was incredible- every bite was better than the one before!! Serving sizes are very generous, did not have room for more! So great to be in a family owned and authentic restaurant!

Brent was amazing! Food was delicious, atmosphere was wonderful. Can’t wait to come back!
