“2025 Update: Bear and Butterfly Bed and Breakfast is a charming, adult-only retreat that offers a quiet and relaxing atmosphere. The B&B is conveniently located just a five-minute drive from town and exclusively welcomes adult guests. The accommodation includes two spacious, en-suite rooms that come equipped with all the necessary amenities. Guests can enjoy their seasonal hot tub, which is situated in the screened-in Muskoka room. Breakfast is served either in the Muskoka room, weather permitting, or in the dining area. All dishes are homemade and prepared fresh each morning. Bear and Butterfly Bed and Breakfast is happy to accommodate various dietary needs with advance notice. BEAR AND BUTTERFLY BED AND BREAKFAST REVIEWS

Felt welcome from the outset. Bev is a great host, making sure we had everything we needed. The property is lovely, a short drive out of Gravenhurst in a beautiful quiet area. We saw the Northern Lights while we were there, standing outside in their garden. Bed is comfy and bathroom was huge. A great base to explore the Muskoka region.

We go up to see the leaves every fall and have been staying at Bear & Butterfly for several years now. It is by far the best B&B we have ever stayed at - has everything we could want, and now we look forward to spending time with Bev and John as much as we look forward to seeing the fall colours. Highly recommended.

Beautiful place in a great location. Very friendly local hosts and fresh cooked breakfast using local ingredients.

GRANT HOUSE BED & BREAKFAST REVIEWS

I stayed at Grant House Bed and Breakfast for a few days and loved every second! I felt very comfortable right from the beginning. The rooms were perfect and had everything you could want and need. The beautiful outdoor areas and pool were so peaceful, too! John and Lore were amazing hosts; they were so kind and accommodating. I couldn't believe how much delicious food you get everyday for breakfast, and everything was so fresh! They are very willing to go above and beyond to make your time there enjoyable. It's a great place to stay, and I would love to come back in the future!

We felt lucky to stay at Grants! What a beautiful little getaway. The rooms are fantastic, cozy, spacious and comfortable. John and Lore went above and beyond accommodating. They are more than hospitable. The eggs Benedict was delicious, probably one of the best I’ve ever had. It is so nice to have these private rooms with balcony and all the necessities included. We loved it so much we didn’t want to leave. Thank you so much for taking care of us, it was a blessing.

What a gem! SO glad I stayed here and not a hotel. Very spacious and really well appointed guest room and bathroom which is situated in the guest house, separate from the main house. Plenty of privacy and very quiet. Lore and John are very gracious hosts and the breakfast was outstanding on the lovely veranda.

THE INN ON BAY REVIEWS

The place was really cozy and quaint! There were lots of board games and cards if you wanted. The bed was super comfortable too and the sheets were soft The Inn was also walking distance to some bars, stores, and restaurants. Jen was also super accommodating, helpful, kind and made a great breakfast! We came to visit the Torrance Barrens reserve and it was only about 25 minutes away, which was great for driving back later at night. Would highly recommend!

Fabulous time enjoyed at this lovely B&B hosted by Jenn! She is a fabulous caring host with a great personality. The attention to the details in the room was appreciated and the room itself was very comfortable. Breakfast is really good and will keep you fueled for whatever activity the day may bring. We love this beautiful B&B and was our second stay here. The owner, Jen is so kind and her breakfasts were just delicious. Such a comfortable room, The Gateway Suite. This boutique B&B is in the heart of Gravenhurst the perfect location for a visit to the beautiful Muskoka district. We will definitely be back thanks so much Jen.
