Bass Lake Provincial Park offers swimming, boating & other lake activities featured at this picturesque park & campsite. Its 4 km cross-country ski trail. Their picnic shelters and a day-use area available. Its fields and trails are suitable for skiing and snowshoeing in winter. Bass Lake Provincial Park has access to washrooms, and three of their four campgrounds have a shower building located inside the campground. They feature both electrical and non-electrical campsites. The sites are approximately a 10-minute walk from their day-use and beach area along the park walking trail.

Here’s The Deal:
Scout Valley Loop Trail is located 2 km west of Orillia, Ontario. You'll find this 93-hectare nature park and former Scout camp, with its three trails each 2.0 km long. Although you can start and finish each one independently, the three trails interconnect from three separate parking lots. You can view the traditional retreating Ice Age Lake Algonquin shoreline including much of south-central Ontario previously and gave them much of today's topography, an interesting study to follow up on. Scout Valley Loop Trail is a 5.5 kilometre moderately trafficked loop trail. Scout Valley Loop Trail is interpretive signage along portions of the trail and well-marked lookout spots, making the trail an excellent place to observe, photograph, and learn about the community’s indigenous ecosystem.

McRae Point Provincial Park offers car camping in the North and South Campgrounds. It is located 8.6 miles from downtown Orillia, Ontario. McRae Point Provincial Park has boat launch facilities, and its area on Lake Simcoe gives way to the Trent Severn Waterway. They provide a large designated swimming area for visitors.
