Bass Lake Provincial Park offers swimming, boating, and other lake activities at this picturesque park and campsite. This park has 4 kilometres of a cross-country ski trail. Picnic shelters and a day-use area are available. The park's fields and trails suit skiing and snowshoeing in winter. Bass Lake Provincial Park has access to washrooms, and three of its four campgrounds have a shower building located inside the campground. Bass Lake Provincial Park features both electrical and non-electrical campsites. The site is approximately a 10-minute walk from the day-use and beach area along the park walking trail.

2025 Update: The park has a 2.8 km hiking trail.

Scout Valley Trail is perfect for walking, hiking, and biking. The trail is located 2 kilometres west of Orillia. Although you can start and finish at different points, users can explore the three interconnected trails from three parking lots. You can view the traditional retreating Ice Age Lake Algonquin shoreline, including much of south-central Ontario. Scout Valley Trail is a 5.5-kilometre moderately trafficked loop trail. The trail provides interpretive signage along portions of the trail and well-marked lookout spots. This makes the trail an excellent place to observe, photograph, and learn about the community’s indigenous ecosystem.

2025 Update: Scout Valley Trail has a wheelchair accessibility entrance.
