"St. Mary's Church was established to serve the growing population of the Catholic community in the villages of Cataract and Brampton. The church was dedicated and blessed by Cardinal James McGuigan in 1964. A cornerstone was laid, and the church continued to serve with a seating capacity of 250. The church features a small building finished with bricks and natural wood. By 1910, the church was opened and blessed. Years later, in 1964, a larger and newer church was built to accommodate the rapidly growing Catholic community of over 1,000 families. Later, the church acquired land and built the first Catholic school in Brampton. The church's fundraising campaigns led to the construction of a new church in 1963. St. Mary’s Church is supported by a dedicated laity who contribute significantly to their spiritual community.

2026 Highlights: Each September, the Office of Catholic Youth (OCY) hosts a leadership training weekend, with sessions for adult leaders on Saturday and teen leaders on Sunday. The weekend offers speakers, workshops, prayer, worship, and opportunities for parish youth leaders to grow as mentors and connect with the wider Archdiocesan youth ministry community."

You would need to attend church service to apply your own review as religion is based on a personal experience. It's a very nice church, the people are friendly and the atmosphere is relaxing and humbling. I do encourage you to attend mass, and you will not be disappointed.

Love the mass in Spanish on Sunday afternoon:) the Priest is friendly and welcoming; the community is very nice here too. Lots of activities to bring people together.

It is always a pleasure going to Spanish mass on Sunday. It's good to see all Spanish speakers' community getting together to celebrate.

Such a beautiful church, totally warm and welcoming , love it !! Outside of the mass times you can just go in and pray, meditate or just soak in the peace and tranquility that always exists there. Amazing church to attend and experience wonderful people, prayer time, ambiance and mass times!! So beautiful.

The most adorable and solemn chapel for everyone to come and visit even once in a while to recite your petition to Our Miraculous Patron of St. Anthony of Padua, though I lived away from the neighbourhood I chose to spend sometime for reflections and offer petitions to the Sacred Saint.

It's our parish and I have been coming here for 19 years now. Always very serene and peaceful. The volunteers do great work for the community.

My wife and I recently had the joy of getting married at this beautiful church, and we cannot say enough positive things about our experience. From the moment we first met Father Pawel, we knew we were in good hands. His kindness, warmth, and genuine care for us as a couple shone through in every interaction we had with him. The church itself is stunning, with its grand architecture, beautiful stained glass windows, and peaceful atmosphere. We felt so blessed to exchange our vows in such a sacred and special space. Father Pawel conducted our ceremony with grace and sincerity, and his words were truly moving. He took the time to get to know us as a couple. It was a truly unforgettable experience that we will cherish for the rest of our lives. We are so grateful to Father Pawel and the entire church staff for making our wedding day so perfect. We would highly recommend this church to any catholic couple looking for a meaningful and memorable wedding ceremony. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, and god bless.

We have been visiting this church from the New Year. This place has some energy which makes it peaceful. You can feel the presence of Jesus here. We attended the English mass on Saturday and it was very very very beautiful.

Polish church situated on outskirts of Brampton. As for mainly older, smaller and rather deprived community Poles still managed to build genuinely above-average exorbitantly ornamented Church that they can be proud of.
