“St. Mary’s Church is a well-known church in Brampton. The church was established to serve the growing population of the catholic community in the villages of Cataract and Brampton. The church was dedicated and blessed by Cardinal James McGuigan in 1964. A cornerstone was laid, and the church continued to serve with a seating capacity 250. The church features a little building finished with bricks and natural wood. By 1910, the church was opened and blessed. After years, by 1964, a larger and newer church was built to adapt to the rapidly growing catholic community of over 1000 families.
