I've been singing at Karaoke nights with AFE since 2016. Jacqueline has created an amazing entity that's here for anyone to enjoy. It doesn't matter who you are, where you're from, or what you believe in; when you come to an AFE event, you are welcome, loved, and accepted. Jacqueline is one of the greatest humans you will ever encounter. We are all blessed to have the opportunity to enjoy her vision and be able to sing the songs we love. I highly recommend it.

I have had the pleasure on numerous occasions over the past 6 years of attending Almost Famous Events! They bring a lot of fun to every venue and know how to work with the crowd! I have found Jacqueline and her team very professional, responsive, and socially conscious. They impressed me so much that I happily engaged their services (music, karaoke, dance party) for both personal and my company events! I highly recommend them!

One of my fav karaoke companies! Jacqueline is and has always been an inclusive hostess and a super fun lady! It is clear that she treats her staff well and they exemplify her beautiful personality through the work they do.

Alec was amazing. We first saw him when we were guests at a wedding, and once planning our own, we knew we had to book him. He was super helpful throughout the whole process - sharing wedding day tips and getting a good feel of our vibe. During our wedding day, he nailed it. Additionally, we booked the Photo Booth Alec offers, which was a huge hit with our guests! We couldn’t be happier and would recommend him to anyone. Thank you, Alec :)

Alec was AMAZING! We had a great time working with him before the wedding to make sure we were on the same page with the music, and he absolutely nailed it. Read the room perfectly, played great music, and kept it really fun. Our guests had a blast and many of them told us how impressed they were with the DJ. Highly recommend working with Alec.

Everything went smoothly, he had all our songs ready to go, kept the theme of the music that we requested and played everything that we asked for during the dance, as well as other tasteful selections that fit the vibe of our wedding. You hit the vibe dead on with the mirage throwback!! Amazing. The online portal on his site was easy to use and overall James was a total breeze to deal with for our wedding. We had him MC the wedding as well and he did an incredible job on the microphone being funny, energetic and engaging for the reception. When the dancing came around he knocked it out of the park! James was the DJ/MC at our wedding last October 27,2023 at the UBC Boathouse. Our guests were all impressed with his hosting skills. He knows how to engage and entertain the crowd, and we especially enjoyed his jokes. With James’ extensive experience as a DJ, he kept our dance floor alive all night long. Not only is James a great DJ and MC, he is also a kind and respectful person. I would definitely recommend him to anyone planning a wedding or any other event.
