“Coastal Canine Training Services is led by Karen Bereti. The centre provides training in behaviour modification, consulting, and dog sport/nose work. Their trainers are highly professional and knowledgeable, and always put your dog’s health and welfare above all. They give great tools and strategies to work on with your dog based on the principles learned in class. Their group classes are hosted in an ample indoor space in Coquitlam. Class sizes are kept at four dogs to ensure clients receive individual attention. They also provide Virtual and Remote Training. Their group classes are a positive, fun atmosphere where they will work on skills to help you reach your training goals.

2025 Update: Karen's interest in becoming a Certified Professional Dog Trainer was inspired by one of her personal dogs and their behaviour issues over 10 years ago. Front Clip or Back Clip Harnesses, Flat Collars, Martingale Collars, Head Haltis. Leather or Nylon 6-8 foot leashes are the equipment used in Dog Training.”

We have had Shyanne in Scentwork with Karen for almost a year. Shyanne loves going to class! I appreciate how almost every class is different and how Karen explains the theory behind each of the activities we're doing. She points out the cues Shyanne is giving me, which helps me learn more about how to fulfil my role better as a handler. Scentwork is just as much (maybe more) about teaching the human, and Karen does that exceptionally well. I would absolutely recommend Coastal Canine and her as a scentwork instructor.

Karen has supported us over the last year on our training journey with our pup, Kobe. We've taken several of her group classes (Mind your Manners and Nosework), and when our pup developed some reactivity issues, we turned to Karen for help. She held our hands through the entire training process and gave us the foundational tools to help support him. She is one of Kobe's favourite people, and she has worked so hard to help us help him find some ease in what for him can be a scary world! We look forward to continuing to work with Karen.

Coastal canine has been so wonderful and unique. Karen helped so much with behaviour training when I first adopted my dog. And doing nose work with him has been a super way for us to bond. He's always so excited to attend classes; it's such a supportive experience.

LEASH LOFT & SPA REVIEWS

Our puppy just started going to Leash Loft. The staff members are so friendly and welcoming from the very beginning, we felt reassured that our puppy would be taken care of! Sure enough, whenever we drop her off now, we don't worry. She gets super excited to go there and comes home the happiest puppy. Their frequent updates on social media are awesome and so cute. They socialize our small puppy with dogs of all sizes, so we feel comfortable taking her out anywhere. Thank you, Leash Loft!

I cannot say enough good things about the staff and their kindness. I’ve had two bad experiences at daycares closer to my home that I knew I had to make the trip to my other dog's old daycare. They welcomed my new nervous pup with kind hearts and patience. They gave her time to adjust before determining if daycare was a fit. These kinds of soles that work here deserve everything for taking such gentle care of our beloved fur babies! Thank you Leash!

Lisa was excellent with our dog. Our dog suffers from anxiety and she was super with him. She was extremely patient and listened to all of our concerns. Our dog is very sensitive with his paws and I couldn’t believe how she managed to gain his trust to allow her to touch and clip his nails! I am so happy with her service!!! I highly recommend it, and we will definitely be lifelong clients!

They are the only place that understands how to groom my Bernese Mountain dog. They are so extremely patient with him & work at his pace. It’s also the first place that he actually seems happy to go in, at other places he would become skiddish & try to run/pull away. The staff is so friendly and I feel so comfortable leaving him in their capable hands. If I could give them 100 stars I would.

Yosh and the ladies are amazing, they are so kind to my dog Ozzy who is terrified to go anywhere without me. They make sure to get him done right away so he does not have to stay too long. They always do any amazing job and the pricing is very good. I highly recommend.

My puppy got first grooming and she looks soo cute! She got summer cut and looks so fresh! The staffs are very friendly and polite. I'm really satisfied and happy with the experience and will definitely go back there.
