ANORA CREMATION, BURIAL & EVENTS REVIEWS
In the midst of a very challenging time for a family, it is very important to have someone experienced, considerate and competent helping to organize a final farewell for a family member. Laurie was this and so much more. While things were not traditional in any way during the time of restricted gatherings and social distancing in BC, Laurie still assisted our family in facilitating a beautiful send off for my Father. In some ways, the virtual event was the best case scenario to involve people as many of his friends and family members hail from different parts of the world. Because of the service being facilitated in this way, everyone who wanted to be involved was able to be which may not have been possible in a traditional service. Laurie was available to me for questions and helped me understand the timeline and process. She was also very helpful with suggestions and professional judgement in the planning process and went the extra mile on several occasions. I would happily recommend her services to anyone who is planning a final farewell.
Laurie went above and beyond for my family’s recent loss. She was compassionate, sensitive, professional and made everything worry free. I can’t thank her enough for also resourcing the perfect urn for our sweet little Angel.
Laurie was amazing. When my Mother-in-Law passed away, the family didn't know where to turn, so we phoned Laurie. Her professionalism was amazing from the first moment of contact. Her kind and caring demeanor was present through the whole process. Laurie took care of all the details...right to the very end. And now both Grandma and Grandpa are remembered together in a special urn. Thank you Laurie!

I was in certain situation where I lost my wife at a very young age and had a 2 year old son at the time , our funeral director Mark was empathetic, understanding and gracious to help to make sure my wife was buried with out having extra stress during this difficult time . Please make sure you check them out first you will not be disappointed. Thank you Mark and Burquitlam Funeral.

AMHERST FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, INC. REVIEWS
Grieving is not the time to make decisions however some had to be made. Initially we were going to choose the funeral home where my sons body was taken but the police provided a list of alternatives. I was skeptical since the price was so much lower than we had been quoted. On arrival to Amherst I was not quite sure because of the warehouse atmosphere and minimalistic office. However, Jim turned that all around for me. He was most sincere and empathetic to my sons fiancé and I. From the beginning to end the entire process was handled with much professionalism and dropping the ashes off to our home made the process so much easier. We paid for a basic package but was very happy with it and did not feel we received a lesser service.
Living in Seattle area, I didn't have the chance to say goodbye to my mum when she passed away at the hospice. She had wished for simple cremation. However, I was very glad that Amherst was able to provide me with a simple viewing for few moments to say goodbye to my mum at their little chapel in Coquitlam. And they didn't charge me exorbitant prices I had been warned of what other funeral homes would typically charge me for the same service. I am very thankful there's still dignified company left in this industry. I had meaningful and intimate goodbye with my mum at their humble yet lovely chapel facility. I would recommend them to anyone in need of such service.
I lost my mom few months back. Though her wishes had been for no-service cremation, my sister didn't quite make it in time to see her last days at the hospital. Amherst was able to give her and our family a chance to say goodbye one last time at their facility. They made her look so peaceful and beautiful. Thank you for giving us that precious moments for saying goodbye at this chapel and for the reasonable costs to allow us to do so.
