This was the perfect place for our last dinner in Quebec City. Definitely requires a reservation because the inside is small but jam packed with tables. We arrived a little early but we enjoyed sitting at the courtyard right next to the restaurant listening to a street music performer. Once we were seated our waitress was SO lovely even as she maneuvered around all the tight corners to all the tables. She suggested sparkling wine to start and we couldn’t resist! Everything we had was so good (the fondue especially - I could have ordered this again as a main! Their specialty is rabbit and duck and we should have tried them, but we stuck with the fish and chicken options. Still very good. A little disappointed in the desserts, but we were also quite full at that point. Such cute decor and ambiance even as the night died down closer to closing. Worth it to visit.

We had 2 different items from rabbit menu and loved both of them. Just sitting in this cute courtyard and being served by these kind and lovely ladies deserves a 5 start. Let alone the great recipe.

Amazing ambience and service. The garden by the outdoor seating is romantic, and the canopy and old school lights are so pretty. Waitress was patient and efficient. Lovely last dinner of our trip.

COCHON DINGUE CHAMPLAIN REVIEWS

We ate breakfast/brunch here on a busy Saturday morning. Our server, Laurent, was outstanding. He was friendly, attentive, and genuinely was a nice person. All meals were excellent. I had the Classic, my wife had some eggs Benedict and another had the French toast. For the French toast, we were going to take a picture, but it was eaten before they remembered to take the photo. We included a shot of the last bite!) My Cafe Latte was excellent and included with the breakfast. The meal was a great value and we will return.

I decided to eat here after reading online reviews from various sites. I tried the iconic pork ribs here. The ribs tasted alright. I personally found the sauce was slightly too sweet and could get heavy after a few bites. The salad was good. However, considering the price and the portion, I would give it 5 stars.

Great food and very fast service. The waiter was kind to us and did all his best to see us happy. Decent prices and great location. I have tried the lobster roll and it was delicious.

Fantastic experience. All of the staff were incredibly welcoming and very professional. Lovely atmosphere too. The food and table side service were sensational. We had the Caesar salad, prepared freshly at the table, flambéed steaks and crêpes suzette. Not only was the food itself amazing, but so too was the flaming spectacle. Will definitely be back here next time I'm in town.

I loved the experience. Table side French dining, and awesome customer service. I originally saw this restaurant watching Anthony Bourdain on ‘No Reservations’. The complexity of simplicity in food makes me want to come back for more.

The waiter cooks your steaks tableside, so it makes for a great experience. The Filet Mignon was excellent. The Scallops with Caviar on top was exquisite. The Rack of Lamb was really good as well. All around great experience and good food.
