“Westwood Lake Park is one of the well-maintained parks in Nanaimo, BC. The park has a 5.51-mile heavily looped trail. The trail provides a range of activities and is available year-round. People can enjoy the trail with their dogs, but they must be kept on a leash. Visitors also have shorter loops available towards the south end of the trail. Westwood Lake Park also has a wheelchair-accessible fishing float past the second beach on the park's south side. The trail is well-groomed and, apart from a steep knoll towards the west end of the lake trail, is considered an easy walking trail. Shorter loops are available towards the south end of the trail.
