Le Taj has been a beloved establishment in the heart of downtown for over thirty years. Founded in 1985 by Vinod Kapoor, the restaurant was envisioned as a place where Indian cuisine could be savoured in an elegant setting, complete with white tablecloths, fine wine, and decor that beautifully showcases the rich cultural and artistic heritage of India.
The menu at Le Taj presents a delightful array of dishes catering to diverse tastes. From succulent lamb chops to exquisite vegetarian cuisine, the offerings are truly exceptional. Notably, their chicken dishes boast a unique flair, and by default, the level of spiciness is kept pleasantly mild unless specified otherwise. The lunch buffet is a delightful experience, featuring a variety of freshly prepared dishes that change daily. Among the selections, you'll consistently find their signature naan and tandoori chicken, along with a tempting array of appetizers, salads, vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes, and delectable desserts.

LE TAJ REVIEWS
Outstanding service and food! The perfect table was reserved for my business meeting with my client. The Butter Chicken is out of this world! I highly recommend Le Taj for any occasion. Lovely atmosphere, amazing cuisine and service. I'll be happy to continue bring my real estate clients here in the future.
Authentic Indian cuisine with amazing ambience. Being a vegetarian I was a bit sceptic when saw the limited number of options, but everything that was available was amazing. The taste was excellent. Their drinks were really good too. Definitely try their briyani, if you love the spice (the real Indian spice), ask for more spicy. They accept credit cards but not tap to pay.
Oh My God. We went here based on a recommendation from one of our friends, and we absolutely loved it. If anyone says it’s too costly, never mind, it’s absolutely worth it and the food is of the highest quality. We tried Litchee Martini, Aaloo tikki, and we thought one biriyani is enough. But we were so impressed with the biriyani that we ordered it once more. The desserts were pretty good too. Highly recommend this place!

THANJAI RESTAURANT REVIEWS
One of the most delicious Indian restaurants in Montreal ! The staff is super kind and they ensure you have a great time with friends and family. I personally love their dosas and idlis and the vadas :) Some days when I am not so hungry I just go for their samosa chaat. My partner loves the one and only butter chicken :) A nice place to bring your family and friends and admire the paintings while the music being played in the background as you eat the delicious food in front of you :) A 10/10 for sure.
Eating at this restaurant was a pleasure! Everything was really good, loved all the staff that worked there. Especially, fried prawns were the best in my opinion, you guys should definitely go and try it!
Food was good, can't complain. Coconut chutney could have been much better than what was served. Was expecting better masala vada. Looking forward to another visit with a hope that I get better food and service.

MAISON INDIAN CURRY REVIEWS
This Indian restaurant is simply excellent! I've always had a soft spot for Indian cuisine, and I couldn't have been happier with what they served us. Curious to explore the full range of flavors, I ended up ordering a variety of their appetizers and they were absolutely delicious! The portions were generous, and the dishes came out of the kitchen quickly, making the whole dining experience even better. The staff was incredibly sweet and eager to help, offering recommendations with big smiles. Without a doubt, this place has easily made its way into my top 5 favorite Indian restaurants!
One of my favourite Indian spots in Montreal. Great food and amazing customer service. They have great butter chicken and palak paneer, just make sure that when ordering the madrasi or vindaloo curries you’re able to tolerate spice (it’s spicy!!!) but great flavours !!
Tried this restaurant with a friend. Great food for great price. We ordered Chicken Madrasi, Paneer Do Pyaza, and Naan. Quick and good service. The ambiance is lit. Must try Indian restaurant.
