The Alberta Legislature is Edmonton's famous meeting place of the Legislative Assembly. The building's friendly and knowledgeable Tour Guides are always happy to welcome you to the building and explain Alberta's legislative process. Guided tours are always free. They have excellent insight into the history of the building and various tidbits of Alberta politics. The building itself features great paintings, portraits, decor, and history. Visitors can also enjoy the beautiful grounds and the fantastic Visitor Centre just north of the Legislature. The grounds are well maintained, and in the summer, they go above and beyond to host activities such as Family Day and Canada Day celebrations. The Visitor Centre is home to the Borealis Gallery, Agora Interpretive Centre, Pehonan Theatre, and Capital Gifts shop. Visit the website to register for a tour and for the most up-to-date information on both buildings.

GOVERNMENT HOUSE REVIEWS
Impressive sandstone mansion built-in 1913. It served as the residence for the lieutenant governor for 25 years. In 1966 it was established as a centre for important state functions. This is a wonderful building. I would recommend coming here. To enjoy its beautiful setting and the other buildings and art installations.
Beautiful Venue for all occasions, weddings, Awards and Celebrations. Nice place to walk early in the morning. A little eerie with the museum building mothballed.
Excellent location for a picnic, a quiet moment to reflect on life in a tranquil surrounding.

RUTHERFORD HOUSE PROVINCIAL HISTORIC SITE REVIEWS
Visited for the first time to have lunch with my mom. The dining room was beautiful, the food was excellent (a 3-course lunch with about 8 delicious-looking dessert options!), and the service was superb! We followed up with a self-guided house tour and all of the staff took the time to answer our questions and give us additional details, as they were all very friendly and knowledgeable about the house and its history.
A wonderful place to take a load off and have a drink and a snack. Lovely historic location and very personable staff. Had the chocolate mocha and cake...A++ would buy again!!
Fantastic tour, our guide was very knowledgeable about the house and the people that occupied it. He brought history to life!
