DR. AYUB AKBARI - THE OTTAWA HOSPITAL REVIEWS

Dr. Akbari is an exceptional specialist. I was referred to the Nephrology clinic due to essential hypertension, and happened to be pregnant at referral, so was sent to Dr. Akbari's pregnancy clinic and felt it was some of the best care I'd ever received. Dr. Akbari is compassionate and diligent. I also think you can tell a lot about a doctor based on their nurses, and I have to say Dr. Akbari's nurses are the kindest I've ever encountered (particularly Claude and April).

I can’t say enough positives about Dr.Akbari. He makes me feel very comfortable and at ease concerning my PKD. He is very knowledgeable and quite strict in getting me to follow his recommendations. I feel like I’m in very good hands.

Awesome doctor. I wish that he were still one of the doctors thst I get to see.

Dr. Bugeja is the best doctor we have had on mom's file- she is very thorough, knowledgeable, caring and follows up on my condition and all test results that we copy her on. she checks all the results and pays close attention to all medications mom is prescribed to ensure no adverse effects and this is helping my mom's condition stable and prevent it from deteriorating. we really appreciate and value having mom in her care. She also checks that we are giving our mom the best care possible and that we are following all her instructions.

I have had the pleasure of knowing Dr. Ann for about 3 years now and she is always extremely caring and compassionate. I believe she is very busy but always takes the required time to discuss matters. Thank you so much!

Excellent nephrologist in the home dialysis unit of the Ottawa General Hospital. Provides good information and helpful advice on matters relating to end stage renal disease.

She gives confidence to patient through her focus on their care. Her knowledge and her ability to assist the patient to understand the prescription of their care and allows them a relaxed atmosphere to question her decisions.

She is a very nice Doctor and she is extremely compassionate with all of her patients.
