Dr. Pniak is the best doctor of any kind I have had in my life. She is exceptionally knowledgeable and is superb at explaining in clear terms the nature of your condition. The first time I saw her, she drew a picture of my brain on a pad of paper with a diagram of exactly what is malfunctioning in my brain, which I've kept. Since then she had an opportunity at the hospital to show me on a computer the results of my EEG and explained what the wave patterns meant. She has been very adept at fine-tuning my medication for best effect. Given the demands on her time, she gives that little extra to answer questions and ensure you understand the answers. I enjoy talking to her and feel I'm in the best of care.

Most helpful, kind, compassionate neurologist I have had to date. & she is my 4th, as I have moved several times. The first three were very dismissive. Which I found to be quite troubling as my MRIs clearly showed extensive brain deterioration. Dr. Pniak's respectful manner and professionalism was a breath of fresh air.

I have been going to Dr.Pniak for some time and she is a excellent . She has a caring manner and really lets you ask the questions that are bothering you and makes you feel like you are not only her patient but a friend you can confide in, and know that whatever you tell her she will give the answers that shows she cares.

Dr. Shafiq is an outstanding neurologist. He was very polite, efficient, knowledgeable, kind and caring when I visited him in his office and also when he did a nerve and muscle test (EMG) on me in the Fredericton Hospital. Dr. Shafiq took time to discuss my concerns and to answer every question I asked him. His discussed the results of the EMG tests with me and thoroughly answered my questions about my migraines. I highly recommend Dr. Shafiq as he is an excellent neurologist. Thank you Dr. Shafiq for your help. You are definitely very appreciated.

What I like about this doctor is that he was willing to look at the entire picture of the problem and not just treat this and that and shove me off. He did a lot of investigating and even offered that if he couldn't help that he would refer us to another neurologist! How many docs say that? He explained results and quickly could find the information he needed, he had actually read the file before we came in the office which is more than I can say for quite a few docs in Fredericton. He is a very nice man and easily approachable. His explanations are very clear.

I think Dr. Shifiq is a great Doctor. He is Very kind and explains all the test results out fully. His staff is excellent as well. Very happy with our visits...
