She fulfilled her lifelong dream by completing her Doctorate in Optometry (O.D.) in 2012, followed by a certification in Ocular Pathology in 2013, also from the Université de Montréal. Her passion for improving eye health flourished during her education, which included an externship at LASIK MD. Dr. Thyriar further advanced her expertise with a U.S. externship at the New York Department of Veterans Affairs (VA Syracuse Medical Center). She was dedicated to eye care research and innovation and was honored with the Best Clinical Research Award from Banque Nationale du Canada. She actively participates in conferences and seminars across Canada, the United States, and internationally, staying at the forefront of advancements in optometry. With 12 years of experience, Dr. Thyriar has served over 70,000 patients, accumulated more than 22,000 working hours, and received five prestigious awards for her exceptional contributions to the field.
