“Dr. Alexandra Fraser earned her optometry degree from the Université de Montréal in June 2009. She quickly focused on learning more about low vision and pediatrics, gaining experience through internships in Stuart, Florida, and at the IRDPQ in Quebec City. Her expertise includes working with children, adults, and seniors who have visual impairments or are legally blind. In 2013, she completed a Master’s in visual impairment rehabilitation at the University of Montreal and became a fellow of the American Academy of Optometry. She is skilled at assessing vision affected by diseases (like AMD, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy) or congenital conditions (like pigmentary retinitis, Lieber's congenital amaurosis, nystagmus, albinism). Dr. Fraser recommends corrective glasses, contact lenses, and other optical aids (like magnifying glasses and telescopes) to help patients improve their vision. She also holds an optometrist position at a pediatric clinic related to the Montreal Association for the Blind’s childhood and adolescence program. She is fluent in French and English. Currently, she is practicing at Clinique Optométrie Bélanger Inc. Their mission is to give their customers the best visual examination, eye health consultation, and outstanding service.”
