Dr. Hussen is board-certified in treating and managing eye diseases and has successfully referred high-risk cases to specialists. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Science from the University of Waterloo in 2003 and his Doctor of Optometry with Honours from the New England College of Optometry in 2007. He completed an ocular disease externship at the Portland Veterans Affairs Hospital and has training in hospital-based optometry, including cataract assessments, trauma care, and diabetic retinopathy.
