“Dr. Todd Sorokan graduated from medical school at the University of Alberta in Edmonton, followed by an internship at the Holy Cross Hospital in Calgary. Inspired by many pediatricians and the children they cared for, he completed his four-year pediatric residency in Winnipeg. He underwent three additional years of training in neonatal intensive care in San Francisco and Calgary, and most of his current hospital work involves caring for sick babies in the NICU. His office practice includes referrals for all childhood concerns, and since 2006, he has worked with the multidisciplinary team at Fraser Development Clinic, seeing children with Autism and Fetal Alcohol Syndrome.

2025 Update: Dr. Todd Sorokan is happy to see children from New Westminster, the Tri-cities, East Burnaby, and North Surrey. Fraser Developmental Clinic specializes in complex multi-disciplinary assessments and treatment for children, youth, and caregivers.”

I don't forget the time when my son was born at 28 weeks on his big hands. It was already 18 years ago. My son grew up beautifully, and now I get to watch him succeed in his study path at UBC. We are very lucky to have met Dr. Cieslak and NICU staff at Royal Columbian Hospital. I thank Dr. Cieslak for giving me the gift that has made me ever so happy throughout my whole life.

One of the kindest most thorough Dr's I have ever met and makes my kids feel like they are the best things going! I feel very confident with my kids in his care.

Dr. Zenon Cieslak is an AMAZING man. He has cared for two of my boys over the years and I accredit their success in life to Dr. Cieslak. Thank you Zenon for all you do.

We adopted twins and needed special help, she was so amazing and helpful. I really appreciated seeing her and her recommendations.

Personally, I like her style. She involves my son (age 14) in the discussions, seems open to trying some treatments but will move to others if necessary, and is working closely with the family doctor as well. She has called me a few times, between appointments, to update me on her discussions with other members of the treatment team. We haven't hit "success" yet, but I feel like it's going to take time, regardless of doctor, and that we are on the way. I never feel rushed in the appointments, and we've either gone in on time, or even early (which I have never experienced before with a specialist). For those families who don't mesh with her style, by all means, find someone who does - these tend to be long-term relationships and it's best to find a good fit for everyone.

I really appreciate Dr Kalaher. She is direct and to the point, which I like. She engages with my son and wants to hear from him before me. Which makes total sense because he’s her patient. I have never found her rude or uncaring. Her questions may be blunt but working in medicine they need to be in order to get the specific information she needs. She has helped my son greatly and continues to help him.

He is a human beings Always saved us when we were desperate about our child’s school issue I’ll thank Doctor Todd Sorokan for helping us.

Dr. Sorokan has been a life saver to my family - literally. He has been consistently available, honest, helpful, patient, thorough and carrying these past 6 years with my micro preemie twins. I just read through some of the sour words from others and cant help but think they are speaking about another doctors becuase we have never witnessed anything but a professional and careing Dr who clearly is at the top of his game in this field.
