As an international client, I had some logistical hurdles booking Maple’s stay—but Lisa went out of her way to help, offering thoughtful payment solutions and great communication throughout. Maple, my Vizsla, began attending camp at the end of June and is currently still going. She’s lean, muscular, and full of energy—which makes her more prone to small scrapes or snags—but each time she comes home happy, tired, and ready for a nap… yet just as excited to go back again. I love that Maple is well cared for in a natural environment, gets the stimulation she needs, and can safely interact with dogs of all sizes. The setting gives her freedom to run and play while still being supervised, and it’s exactly the kind of environment I wish we had at home. Lisa runs a structured program with firm pick-up and drop-off windows—not out of rigidity, but to maintain a calm, consistent environment for the dogs. She is consistent, clear, and transparent in how she operates, and it’s evident that every decision she makes is guided by what’s best for the dogs. That level of integrity is something I deeply respect. The consistency, care, and commitment that Lisa and her staff bring to Happy Tails are exactly why I trust them with Maple.

We had the opportunity to volunteer at HappyTails via the Helpx platform and it was a superb experience that deserves a google review ! First of all, many thanks to Lisa who was unfailingly hospitable and generous. From our very first day to our departure, the welcome we received at her home was memorable, we were 5 volunteers and the atmosphere was great Concerning the ressort, during our stay we had a great time in the company of the dogs/cats who live in great indoor and outdoor spaces. Lisa knows every dogs and cats she takes in and knows perfectly how to adapt to their needs. She's always full of ideas to improve the ressort, is very invested and you can feel it ! We'd love to come back, thank you Lisa.

Just left our best friend and love, our German Shepherd, Max. He has been going “to the resort” as we call it now for eight years. We know he is well cared for and he gets to run free and enjoy the Lisa’s place that has so much to offer. Also a perk from Lisa is her wonderful photos of max enjoying his time there. I can’t recommend Happy Tail’s Muskoka enough.
