Muskoka Montessori School in Huntsville is a private educational institution catering to students from Preschool (Casa) to Grade 8. The school has been an integral part of the Huntsville community, with over two decades of history. Leading the institution is Sara Berry, who holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from McMaster University and brings her valuable experience as a Casa directress in Calgary and Ottawa. The core mission of Muskoka Montessori School is to provide an educational environment that fosters comprehensive child development, encompassing intellectual, social, physical, and emotional aspects, through the curriculum and philosophy of Maria Montessori. Within the Montessori setting, a delicate balance is struck between structure and freedom to encourage optimal learning experiences. The teaching staff at the school is comprised of highly trained and experienced educators well-versed in early education programs. Through the Montessori approach, students gain academic knowledge and develop essential life skills such as physical coordination, social awareness, independence, initiative, self-confidence, and self-discipline.
Children typically begin the Casa program in September of the year they turn 3, provided they are toilet-trained. However, exceptions may be considered later in the school year for children who still need to be toilet-trained, subject to the discretion of the Principal and the class teacher.
The Montessori method of education offers a holistic learning experience that introduces children to a wide range of subjects, including art, music, and storytelling, all integrated seamlessly. This foundational experience paves the way for continued learning and growth as students progress through elementary school and beyond.

MUSKOKA MONTESSORI SCHOOL REVIEWS
My daughter began this school year (she was in Montessori in another program previously from age 2.5 - 4, and started at Muskoka Montessori in September) This is an excellent school. I was absolutely blown away at the Casa classroom, too. The Casa teachers: Cindy and Debbie, are wonderful. The principals, Timo and Kerry are kind and welcoming. As well as other staff like Judith. Overall, everyone's warm and welcoming! Just an amazing atmosphere for the kids. Montessori is the way to go if you can get your children into this school!
We couldn't have found a more caring, stimulating, wonderful school for our child. From Casa right through to the Erdkinder program, we've been thrilled with the staff and the education he's received.
