The past of the regimental can be traced back to the War of 1812 and intersects with some of the most important episodes in Canada's post-Confederation culture. The RCR Museum has been one of the oldest museums in Canada. It is dedicated not only to establishing a venue for the regimental archive but also to promoting a greater view of the regimental experience in the wider sense of military and Canadian culture, including veterans, populations in the London region, and all Canadians."
