“Carling Heights Optimist Community Centre is a multipurpose facility featuring gymnasiums, meeting rooms, a swimming pool, a fitness centre and an aerobics studio. The centre is ideal for large or small, public or private group gatherings, including meetings, birthday parties, special events, tournaments, receptions and training events. Carling Heights Optimist Community Centre, which includes a 25-metre, 6-lane pool and a climbing wall, also has a changing table with a lift, an electric pool lift, a stair entry and a universal change room. Program offerings include recreational swims, lane swims, aquafit classes, swim lessons, and aquatic leadership programs.

“Stronach Community Recreation Centre offers a variety of rental and programming opportunities in London, ON. The facility has two ice pads (which serve as floor pads in the summer), a large outdoor pool with a waterslide (open seasonally), five baseball diamonds, and a district-level skateboard park. The centre has an electronic scoreboard and sound system, divided in half with a canvas curtain, a maximum capacity of 300 people (standing), basketball 1 full court, two half courts, four practice nets, two full court nets, and badminton includes four courts. They have soccer2 indoor soccer nets, five baseball diamonds, and wheelchair accessibility available.

2025 Update: There is also a bunch of ball diamonds and an outdoor swimming pool.”

CARLING HEIGHTS OPTIMIST COMMUNITY CENTRE REVIEWS

I have been very excited this year to get back into swimming. I enjoy working on my laps early in the morning 3 days a week. Mondays and Wednesdays, I have added water walking and Aquafit. The water walking is fantastic, and has truly helped my posture on land. The pool and change rooms are very clean, the staff are very welcoming and knowledgeable about the many programs available at this community centre. I highly suggest you come check it out.

This place is great for kids. I discovered it by mistake and am so glad I did. There is a pool with a climbing wall and an observation deck, a lounge with coffee and activities, and lots of little things to keep children entertained including drop-activities like ping pong and counting stairs, murals and large decals on the floors with tasks to do. Love this place. Very reasonable prices and friendly, helpful staff. Oh, outside is a beautiful skate park and a path through the woods.

I go there every week for swimming very nice and clean. Water is warm not freezing cold . Front desk is also very helpful and kind with all your questions. Definitely go check it out for any community programs.

The place has plenty of activities to try, people working there is really nice, they give all the information and are gentil with customers. It was crowded when I went to know the place, but I’ve been told that in the morning is usually almost empty. I liked the gym and the library.

Amazing and caring staff as well as fabulous instructors! Love the y classes! Thank you Star Tech YMCA and Community Centre! Amazing indoor walking track as well. Everything you need all in one location with lots of free parking! Love this location.

Nice atmosphere, lovely design. My girl loves the running path. The library is neat, but the tables aren’t enough for this many people.

STRONACH COMMUNITY RECREATION CENTRE REVIEWS

Very nice facility. There's lots to do here besides the obvious ice rink and swimming pool. There are lessons of all sorts here. There's also activities in the community rooms so if you have kids at different ages, there's activities younger kids can do while the older play hockey, etc.

Having this community center in the area has been so great for my son and his friends. It is affordable and convenient. The staff is always friendly and helpful. A nice safe place for kids to enjoy themselves and be physically active.

Great facility with lots of free parking, free wifi and clean washrooms. The gym has hardwood sprung floors for all indoor sports. Ceiling is about 20 feet height for volleyball. 2 Ice pads are in good condition. Nice place.
