He did his residency specifically in Podiatric Surgery at Vancouver General Hospital. He is highly trained as a foot and ankle surgeon. He has been serving for over 29 years. He always tries every possible non-surgical treatment first before suggesting surgery. Dr. Sunny Lai is most passionate about the sports medicine aspect of his practice, which is to help athletes, young and old, novice and professional. Dr. Sunny is a member of the American College of Foot & Ankle Surgeons and the Canadian Podiatric Medical Association. Dr. Sunny speaks English, Mandarin, Cantonese and Spanish.
