“Captain William Spry Community Centre is an ideal destination for quality family time, offering a variety of recreational and leisure activities. The fitness centre is equipped with a variety of equipment. Captain William Spry Community Centre also offers free snowshoes. CWSCC facilities include eight meeting rooms, four bathrooms, change rooms, a 4-lane 25-meter lap pool, a 15-meter diameter graduated beach area, a climbing wall, a deckside patio area, and wheelchair access. The membership fee varies based on age and the length of the membership term. The option to rent their rooms for events and parties is also available.

CANADA GAMES CENTRE REVIEWS

Love going here! It’s close to the highway, there’s a sauna, lots of swim space options (deep end, baby pool, designated shallow swim area, regular shallow end of a pool, and a hot tub). I enjoy going to the gym, using the indoor run track and then swimming after. I’ve not taken advantage of their classes yet but they have lots going on every day. Also highly recommend taking advantage of the childcare! It gives you 90min to take care of yourself while someone else looks after your little one. sometimes check ins take a while but recently it was no wait time.

My family visited the Canada Games Centre specifically for the pool and we had a blast. The pool is big, with floating toys and equipment for kids, a splash pad and two enormous slides which we unfortunately did not get to try. Inside the centre, we also saw a gym, a basket ball court, a karate class, a point sparring class, and more. We will definitely go back.

Took my daughter and her friends for the $4 swim. Such a great deal! And I appreciated that the glass wall to look into the pool from the lobby had comfortable seeting so I could keep an eye on them without having to enter the pool area.

CAPTAIN WILLIAM SPRY COMMUNITY CENTRE REVIEWS

There is a small library here, a little playground out front, and a cute little bridge passing over the brook! But I think the best part is the WAVE POOL! THE ONLY ONE of it's kind here in Halifax. Not to mention, it is THE CHEAPEST INDOOR SWIM PRICE YOU CAN FIND IN HALIFAX. For only 2$ per person( tax INCLUDED), you get a 1 hour swim! The waves in the wave pool go two times during the hour and are about 10 minutes each. They are strong and very fun. It's the only pool I like to visit here in Halifax.

This is a well-equipped recreational center which has a library, a fitting gym with waving pool and so on. The place make me feel quite cozy and relaxed. It's different from the Halifax city style or Cole Harbour town style municipal facilities. It's good to grab a juicy apple from the library.

Great little community hub in Spryfield. Plenty of great community resources, including a well managed library, a nice little gym, and the crown jewel, a large wave pool with a huge wading area for family swims.

My family especially loves using the gym. Since my twins are 12 they were excited to find out they could use it as well. Also the kids love swimming at the pool with friends! Well worth the family membership!

Only commenting on the pool facilities because that’s all I’ve used. Cost was fair, change rooms were clean and spacious, pool was a decent size and temperature. Everyone had a great time.

Thank you to swim instructor Casey for offering her time to help my son after his swim class. She was phenomenal and very kind. Thank you Casey!!!
