SUNDIAL LAKEVIEW RETIREMENT RESIDENCE REVIEWS

Life is made up of different chapters. My parents have enjoyed their life together, and the thought of selling their home and moving into a retirement residence was not something they looked forward to doing. Their mindset was that this was for old people and that their independence would be gone. After visiting a few homes in the area, we finally settled on the Sundial. Anna gave us a tour and we found her to be empathetic, kind and gracious. What struck me in our initial tour was that Anna knew everyone that passed us in the hall by name. The home had an upbeat energy, a dining area that was bright - with a menu that looked amazing and a calendar of events that would cater to many different people. As I now open the pages of their book to this chapter, I am thrilled at what I see. They have become part of the Sundial family. They look healthier (thanks to the good food), they continue to meet new people every week and they are so happy with their bright new apartment. The staff are all so friendly and professional. They do not miss their old home at all. For anyone that is feeling the uncertainty that my parents did, my only advice is DO IT!!.

I chose Sundial for the fabulous food and great view. I have been a resident for three months and every meal is delicious. The variety is fabulous. My room is spacious and comfortable, and QUIET. My view of the lake is beautiful. All the staff are super friendly and helpful. The staff keep us busy with crafts, bingo, and exercise classes. There is always something to do if you wish. Sundial made the transition from living independently in my bungalow until I was 86 to moving here. There is a beautiful walk around the building too. A plus was that I was able to bring my cat, who is happy here also. I get my hair done and my nails done and it’s cashless, which is another great feature.

My mother has been living in the Sundial now for approx. 18 months. I cannot say enough good things about the staff in the Sundial, they are caring, considerate, and kind. They go way beyond what I have seen in other retirement homes to make their residents safe during this difficult time. Mom was reluctant at first to go and live there, as she had been living with me for 14 years, but she is very happy, she enjoys the entertainment, she likes the food and loves the staff. As far as I am concerned they deserve 10 stars.

ATRIUM RETIREMENT RESIDENCE REVIEWS

My Dad is now a resident at the Atrium and he couldn’t have chosen a better retirement home for himself. The minute we walked through the door for our tour, we were greeted with such warmth, caring and friendliness that I knew my Dad had found the place for him. The Atrium is well maintained and ensuring residents safety is a priority. My Dad is enjoying every minute of the activities, socializing with fellow residents, the variety of meals and being able to continue with his independence. The staff at the Atrium are incredible as they made my Dad feel valued, cared for and part of the community from day one. It is never easy having your parent make this step, but the Atrium most certainly made my Dad’s transition a smooth one.

The Atrium is truly a wonderful place. It's not easy making the decision for a loved one to leave their home but the staff at the Atrium made my Mother feel welcome and cared for. She loves the activities and especially loves the delicious meals. Thanks to all the wonderful staff.

The Atrium is a warm and welcoming home. The facility is well-designed and the common areas are easily accessible. The staff are courteous and work well as a team to support the residents. The activities are outstanding, creative and innovative and the Director does an excellent job of keeping the residents engaged. There is rarely a day where there isn’t a planned activity and resources are always available to the residents. My mother’s stay there was brief but she enjoyed it and we knew she was safe and well-cared for.

LAKE SIMCOE RETIREMENT LIVING REVIEWS

We recently visited our nanny, who has been at Lake Simcoe Retirement for about 3 years. It has been over a year since our last visit as we live in the USA. The changes to the home have been ASTONISHING!! I know there has been many management changes during the last few years and I am sure a pandemic did not help but we were so glad to see the positive changes. We were greeted immediately upon entering by the GM Lynda. This was our first time meeting her and she was very pleasant and helpful. Kim took us to the dinning room where nanny was finishing her lunch. Nanny raved about her lunch and how wonderful Brian and Henri are with the variety and the quality of food. She especially loves the desserts!! We had a great visit. The home was clean and everyone was so friendly. We were really happy to see the changes, it really made a difference in the quality of care Nanny is receiving. Also, special mention to Nanny's favorites Melissa, Kenzie, Terry and Joe... and everyone else at the Lake Simcoe Retirement Residence!!.

It's an amazing place! they provide a very safe environment for everyone, also the staff is very helpful and dedicated to their jobs.

Wonderful staff, amazing food and great attention to my grandmother. The place is well maintained and located on the bus routes for when I visit.
