THE GEMSTONE GUEST HOUSE AND B&B REVIEWS

Recently we enjoyed an absolutely delighful long weekend at the Gemstone Guest House and B&B in Raymond, Alberta, CA. Cheryl, our hostess had thought of everything we needed to make our stay perfectly lovely. The breakfasts that she served are made for a hearty appetite! She asked us what our preferences were and catered the meal to our taste and schedule. I could see that any type of diner could easily be accommodated. She is an accomplished cook and her timing and presentation are suberb. Our rooms were extremely clean, well designed and allowed us to feel right at home. I enjoyed the extra space in the drawers and closets so I didn't feel like I was living out of my suitcase! She kept fresh towels set out and everything else we might need to prepare for our day. We felt grateful and blessed to have discovered this 'gem' of a guesthouse! It was truly a vacation.

Stayed here last night in the big room. Quite inexpensive for what it is, and the giant jetted tub was a real treat. The breakfast included was Eggs Benedict - cooked to the standards of a fine Calgary restaurant, with authentic Hollandaise sauce. There was also a selection of tea available in the evening. The owner is very pleasant and accommodating. Altogether, a great experience.

Cheryl and her Bed and Breakfast are wonderful. The beds are comfortable, it is clean and the food/ beverages are great. I went to stay there when my Mother was passing away at the Raymond hospital. Cheryl went above and beyond what is required. I will never forgot her kindness during this difficult time.

THE OLD CHURCH B&B REVIEWS

Picked this place because of the reviews. Stayed just one night. Absolutely amazing service, price, and hosting. When we told them we had to be back on the road at 6am they had breakfast ready for us at 5.30. They have antiques they collected over the past 7 years that covers every space of wall in the entire building. Loved every second of it.

We only spent one night at the Old Church B&B but would definitely return. Pam and Dan are lovely hosts, carry a great conversation and are just down home people. When you enter, immediately you can feel the warmth of the hosts and home. The room we had was clean, comfortable meeting our expectations.

If you want to go to a truly Hidden Gem, go see Dan at the old church B&B. We only stayed one night, but we had a wonderful visit and everything was spot on. Nice quiet town and very good food at the local hotel. Prices all around were very fair. We plan on staying there again.
