"Pavan Park has a playground, volleyball court, hiking trails, picnic areas, and equestrian trails. The park offers approximately 10 km of paved and aggregate trails for walking and hiking, making it the only park in the city that permits horseback riding. People of all age groups can enjoy their time at this park, which features jogging paths, fitness stations, a pond, and community events. Pavan Park is also an excellent place for photography enthusiasts. Additionally, there are playground areas for older kids to play and explore. The park provides parking with paved and shale paths, offering a fantastic opportunity for a riverside walk. Pavan Park is a 125-hectare park.

"Popson Park has emerged as part of the Provincial Government-funded Urban Park Project. The river offers fishing and boating, with many boaters launching from this location. The off-leash area is designed around the limestone trail. The park offers diverse spaces for public and special events, making it an incredible destination for picnics with family and friends. A covered picnic shelter is located on the south end of the park and is bookable for social events. Popson Park is an excellent place to enjoy wildlife and nature. The park provides ample parking and is famous for dog walking.

PAVAN PARK REVIEWS

Absolutely awesome place to go for a good hike or horseback riding. The trails are fantastic, the views stunning, and the wildlife plentiful. There's plenty of nice, easy goin trails, and also plenty of difficult ones. The trails are very well maintained, but if you feel like gettin off the beaten path there are plenty of side trails and deer trails you can take. There are also numerous trails that lead to the top of the coulee, where you get absolutely gorgeous views. There is an abundance of wildlife. Lots of different birds, deer, rodents, and more. Definitely an awesome place to go, and certainly one of the best parks in southern Alberta.

Nice park in the river bottom with walking trails through the trees and alongside the river. Public bathrooms and small playground for kids. There is also a fenced off area that you can rent for functions that has a place for cooking with a large play area.

Pavan park is awesome, this park is next to river, lots of trails get to see lots of wild animals. Great for taking dogs for walks. They have public washrooms, also do a pretty hood job of keeping this park clean.

BULL TRAIL PARK NORTH REVIEWS

Wonderful place to walk, run, or bike when conditions permit. There are two staircases on the west slope of the park that are also quite scenic and fun to walk up/down with beautiful views of the Old Man River, and High Level Bridge. One of my favourite sections of trail to run is in this park.

Tremendously beautiful park. Especially at sunrise. Plenty of trails. Some difficult and some not. You can walk along the top of the coulee or go down and walk along the bottom of it. Pick n choose as ya like. Also lots of wildlife to be seen. Definitely a beautiful and enjoyable park to visit.

A great spot for a walk or trail run in an impeccably well maintained park. Amazing views from the rim trails, while down in the river valley you will feel miles from anywhere easily forgetting you are right in the middle of town.

POPSON PARK REVIEWS

Great place to go for a chill walk with your dog. Usually other dogs to play with without being too crowded, and the scenery is beautiful. Not as nice in the early spring as it gets very soggy. If you have a hard time keeping your dog out of water, beware the river! The water is gorgeous and you can walk right along the edge on the rocks. Two parking lots, accessible for strollers.

Great place to get away, but the city keeps creeping closer to the park’s edge. Once upon a time, you could see the stars so clearly, but urban sprawl has been interfering with star gazing.

Amazing park, great geocaches if you have the app, had so much fun hiking up and down the Coullies! Will be visiting again!.
