Specialty:
“Fort Whoop-Up replicates an original trading fort built in the late 1800s. The museum tells the story of the buffalo robe, the illegal whisky trade, and all the folks who called the Oldman River Valley home over the centuries. This landmark explores the history, cultures, and traditions of the communities that lived in the region when the original Fort Whoop-Up was built and operated. The museum has an excellent team of staff who guide their visitors in a friendly way. They bring to life the experiences and lives of tribes, traders, and more in this historic fort. In addition, there is free admission or special discounts on programs, lectures, and special events at the museum and the fort.
