MEREON

1479 Clyde Avenue, West Vancouver,
North Vancouver, BC V7T 1E9 Directions

Specialty:

Croque Monsieur Classic French Omelette Croque Forestier French Smoky Socca Duck Confit Cassoulet O’s Breakfast Mèreon Burger Croque Madame Steak Frites Moules À La Marinière West Coast Sablefish Beef Bourguignon

2025 Update: Mereon offers a cozy and refined dining experience that blends classic French flavours with a modern West Coast twist. This restaurant is located 5.1 miles from North Vancouver. They focus on fresh, local ingredients, support local artists, and aim to create a warm, welcoming space for everyone to enjoy. Ophelia Dry named her restaurant after the French word "Mère," meaning "mother" a title once given to respected female chefs in France, especially in Lyon. This is a tribute to the women, like Mère Brazier, who helped make Lyon the food capital of France and shaped modern French cooking. The idea for the restaurant grew from Ophelia’s travels in France, where she fell in love with the culture, the food, and the joy of bringing people together over good meals and meaningful moments. Their menu reflects the "East meets West" philosophy, combining classic French dishes with West Coast specialties and creative fusion dishes that offer the best of both worlds. At Mèreon, every dish is thoughtfully crafted by their team of French and West Coast chefs with everything made in-house to ensure top quality.
