227 Sunnidale Road, Barrie, ON L4M 3B9

Hiking Trails, Walking Trails, Park, Trees, Walk, Ski-Trails, Playground, Nature Lovers, Keen Photographers, Picnickers and Winter Sports Enthusiasts, Cross-Country Ski or Snowshoe, Picnic Spot, Butterfly Bush, Lilac Dell, Nut Grove & Rose Gardens

The 15.5-acre (6.27-hectare) site is a collection of trees on the northern side of Barrieā€™s Sunnidale Park - The park and arboretum are busy in the summer months but fall is also a great time to visit

Many people choose to take their wedding photos at Sunnidale Park Arboretum because it is such a beautiful setting. I have hiked the trails around the park which go through the arboretum and skied those trails in winter. There are many varieties of trees planted here and they are labelled which makes the area and great teaching tool for teachers to share with their students. It also makes a great area for family reunions, school activities and it has a wonderful playground for children as well.

Great Park for walks, bike riding, roller blading, or jogging. Beware of bugs at sundown. Old Allandale train station looks restored but not open yet. Looks like a good spot for a restaurant and a few souvenir shops.
