3 Best Music Schools in Barrie, ON

Our three kids have been taking lessons here for about a year now. The instructors are enthusiastic and make learning fun for the kids by taking an interest in what they're interested it, not just music, but hobbies and other interests which makes the kids SO EXCITED each week to go to lessons. The songs they learn even sometimes take cues from TV shows or online videos the kids enjoy. This makes them excited to come home and practice and sustain their interest in their instrument. They love learning from the teachers at Modern Music because it is a community where they can share their little lives. My son says: "I learned a lot of new things, chords and songs. My favourite part was meeting the music teachers and practicing with them".

I have contacted almost all the music schools in Barrie, looking for a perfect place to put my son in. After tons of comparisons, I have to say that Bob is NUMBER ONE! Bob really gave me a very good impression! He is not just treating me as a potential customer, he is more like an old friend who helped me to understand the musical world. He understands my son’s personal needs and provides us with a lot of detailed information! I would like to leave my son to him without any doubt! Strongly Recommended!.

Excellent music school! Top marks all around. Very flexible and easy to work with. They make scheduling and administration very easy on parents. My kids love their teachers and look forward to their lessons every week. Overall just the best experience with Modern Music Studio.

Both Aleksandra and Oliver are obviously passionate about music, and are equally obviously passionate about teaching. Although I have not had any direct experience with Aleksandra as a teacher, I have had the occasion to observe a number of lessons, and was impressed by the clarity of instruction, and the positive manner in which lessons were conducted. My daughter is currently preparing for her RCM8 piano, and Oliver has instructed her in theory, and in the technical aspects of her playing. Since starting with Oliver in December, her playing has noticeably improved in many ways, not "just" in technique. My daughter has been studying with another teacher from the beginning, and still is with her original teacher. Oliver was willing to be flexible enough to work with a teacher he has never met, and has adroitly and very effectively both supported the previous teacher, and improved some of the aspects the other teacher did not have the time to offer this year (Sight reading, ear training...).

My son has been attending Aleksandra's piano lessons for three years now. Aleksandra is very professional, kind, extremely accommodating and talented. My son always looks forward to his lessons and enjoys learning piano and I am so thankful to Aleksandra for being a wonderful teacher and making my children fall in love with music.

Our two children are in their second year attending piano lessons with Aleksandra and we have had a great experience. The teachers are very knowledgeable and share their passion for music with their students. We highly recommend this music school!.
