3 Best Hiking Trails in Montreal, QC

What more can you say about Parc Jean-Drapeau? I’m quite certain that anyone who has lived in Montreal has been there and knows all about it and what a nice place it is! There’s so much to do that you need multiple visits to do it all! Of course, this includes the entire Saint Helens island. You have festival after festival taking place especially in the summer time. From Osheaga to La Ronde this place has it all! And it’s easily accessible by metro.

t's such a beautiful place. There's so much to see. The flowers are beautiful. There's also this enormous blue chair that's really cool. I simply went there to enjoy the clamness of the afternoon and had no idea a that the Biosphere Museum was near by. I was pleasantly surprised. I absolutely enjoyed going there and intend to go back soon.

A really nice park with lots of nice tracks and features to explore and walk around. There are lots of nice animals in the park and this is a great place to really get to enjoy nature.

"Popular"=big crowds on nice days to see the lovely scenery. If you truly want a quiet chance to get out in nature, come early in the morning. When I got there around lunch, there were people everywhere. Even way out on the trails there was a steady stream of people almost constantly. If you can take quieter sections of trail (like the Montérégien in some parts) it is better, but still, best to avoid the rush (and foolish people who take small children on 9km hikes).

Went for a winter hike there. Absolutely amazing, loved the trail and very much enjoyed the lovely snow sparkles. If you are a hiker, be aware that trails in different provinces of Canada have different way of directing the hikers and the signs are different. For a winter hiking you need an extra layer than whatever you wear on a winter hike in Ontario as Quebec weather is different.

On y retrouve de beaux trajets de randonnée qui traversent la forêt, on peut observer plusieurs animaux de la grenouille au cerf de Virginie. Les chemins sont biens entretenus et divers lieux d'observations sont installés. C'est une très bel endroit où aller marcher. Je recommande!
