I love this place. A short drive from downtown. Free parking. Well organized system of hiking paths with nothing too strenuous and many special spots to stop and marvel at. Rushing water down a narrow canyon. Places you can go for a dip. Fishing spots. Entirely natural. The weekends can be busy.

Fantastic hike with straightforward 2800+ stairs brings you to the top of goose mountain with amazing view. As a hike lover, I absolutely enjoyed the hike - it's fun and challenging. Great hiking trail with forest accompany the whole way. The trail is well-maintained and marked. You can track the progress easily by checking the numbers on the trees (1-40/40 trees and big marks every 25% along the trail). The challenging part - I had to keep push myself to keep the 1hr pace until finish line!

We're very lucky to have such amazing local mountains. Whether you're into winter sports like skiing, snowboarding, and snowshoeing or summer sports like hiking Mt Seymour is great. Rentals are also available. Different levels of difficulty for trails and beautiful views at top, what else can you ask for? I've hiked up Dog Mountain both summer and snowshoeing in the winter very easy to moderate well marked trails. I've done some night snowboarding as well.
