“Capilano Suspension Bridge Park is one of the most famous attractions in North Vancouver, B.C. The Bridge was first designed by the Scottish civil engineer George Grant Mackay in 1889. The Bridge spans the Capilano River in the District of North Vancouver, British Columbia, and is a simple suspension bridge. Capilano Suspension Bridge Park is 140 meters long and 70 meters above the river. Initially constructed of hemp ropes with a cedar plank deck, it was replaced with a wireline in 1903. Visitors can experience the West Coast rainforest from three perspectives: the Capilano Suspension Bridge, Treetops Adventure, and Cliffwalk. Moreover, B.C. residents with valid identification receive a complimentary annual pass when purchasing a regular-priced ticket, allowing access to Canyon Lights and other special events. An accessible Wi-Fi facility is also available here. Enjoy natural thrills and a wilderness environment with fun, learning, and awe-inspiring views.”
