Wawanosh Wetlands Conservation Area is a natural area that covers 100 acres with walking trails, picnic areas, a pond for ducks and geese, and a memorial forest. This refuge is a sizable wetland providing a habitat for many plant and bird species, including migratory waterfowl. There are 2.5 kilometres of trails in this natural habitat area open year-round and managed by the St. Clair Conservation Authority. Wawanosh Wetlands Conservation Area offers access to the river valley's west side, where you can see many of the area's indigenous plants and animals.

2025 Update: Wawanosh Wetlands Conservation Area has critical habitat for over 220 species of resident and migrating birds. The park is also home to over 700 species of plants and a variety of fish, reptiles, amphibians, and mammals.

Blackwell Trails Park features three kilometres of natural trails. These trails are popular among hikers, walkers, joggers, and cyclists. You will walk through clear grassy fields or wetlands, making for a relaxing stroll with beautiful views. Blackwell Trails Park has a 3.5-acre fully enclosed dog park and a fully accessible playground. The trail is easy to walk and can be used even on rainy days. Blackwell Trails Park is an excellent, easy trail system with different loops connected. Wheelchair access is available here. The park offers parking.

2025 Update: Blackwell Trails Park has wide gravel paths and beautiful scenery with trees, wildflowers, and tall grasses. These trails easily connect to the Howard Watson Nature Trail for those seeking a longer walk.

Perch Creek Habitat Management Area covers 200 acres of property, including floodplain and upland forest, hedgerows, open meadows, and wetlands. This Habitat Management Area is owned by Lambton County and managed by the local conservation authority. Perch Creek Habitat Management Area features over 5 kilometres of trails that take the hiker through various habitats. You can also view beautiful sunset and sunrise views. The more difficult trails are at the valley's top, while the easier ones are at the bottom. Perch Creek Habitat Management Area also has a picnic area with plenty of activities for kids.
