“Wawanosh Wetlands Conservation Area is a popular hiking destination in Sarnia, ON. This refuge is a sizable wetland providing a habitat for many plant and bird species, including migratory waterfowl. This beautiful natural area covers 100 acres with walking trails, picnic areas, a pond for ducks and geese, and a memorial forest. There are 2.5 kilometres of trails in this natural habitat area that are open year-round and are managed by the St. Clair Conservation Authority. Wawanosh Wetlands Conservation Area offers access to the river valley's west side, where you can see many of the area's indigenous plants and animals.
