“Canatara Beach & Park has play equipment and lake activities. The park is full of oaks and maples, a bike or skateboard section, and a fitness area with built-in machines. Canatara Beach & Park has many attractions, including a long stretch of sandy beach, rentable picnic pavilions and spaces, a concert stage near the beach, a BMX and Bike Track, and many paved and unpaved trails. The park offers the opportunity for peace and relaxation away from the bustle and hustle. The park contains a beautiful beach and trails for walking and biking. This place has lots of parking for RVs and cars.

2025 Update: The park is home to several community groups and businesses, including the Seaway Kiwanis Mini Train, the Seaway Kiwanis Children’s Animal Farm, and several community lead events. Canatara Beach & Park is Wheelchair accessible and has swings, picnic tables, and slides, and dogs are allowed. The park is admission-free.”

The park is a popular place to conduct various sporting events, festivals, and concerts. This park is illuminated with thousands of colourful lights for the celebration of lights Christmas event. Centennial Park has outdoor fitness equipment. The park has a place to enjoy the outdoors with your friends and family. The park contains lots of seating, bathrooms. Their parking is very organized and clean. The park's added beauty is gardens and flowers, plus boats and a seaplane.

2025 Update: Centennial Park has bike paths, playgrounds, and tree-shaded spots. Centennial Park allows dogs and is wheelchair accessible.”

“Germain Park has numerous leisure and active opportunities for you to enjoy. The park also has indoor and outdoor amenities, baseball diamonds, a lawn bowling club, and community gardens. Germain Park offers fitness equipment and soccer fields. Germain Park provides ample space for leisure activities and recreational pursuits. The park has a lovely arbour that can be used as a backdrop for weddings and plenty of grassy space to sit and enjoy the view. The entire park consists of great playgrounds, has a tennis court, soccer fields, dog-friendly fenced areas, and paved pathways.

2025 Update: Germain Park encompasses over 60 acres of recreation space. The park is wheelchair accessible. The park is also home to the Golden Hawk Memorial for WWII airmen. Germain Park has a dog park.”

CANATARA BEACH & PARK REVIEWS

Beautiful day - 17 degrees. Feb. 9/24 The sand was quite clean which made our walk enjoyable all along the beach. The park itself is quite large with many people out and about today, along with their canine friends. There was one brave soul who tested the water! I would guess this is a beautiful park for swimming during the summer months. A place to relax, take a moment, and enjoy the water.

Beautiful beach, trails for walking and biking. Lots of parking for RVs, cars, etc. Shaded areas or full sun. Family events taking place. A must stop when in Sarnia. Picnic area: Clean, large, and well groomed.

Great beach/park! Lots of things to do for the kids and adults. Animal farm, playground, walking trail, and of course the beach with a spectacular view of Lake Huron. I am drawn to this beach because of the abundance of rocks in all sizes.

CENTENNIAL PARK REVIEWS

Great place for a walk. Lots of beautiful flowers to stop and take pictures which serve as nice backgrounds. Lots of birds in the area we saw geese and ducks. The water is clean and the summer winds make it a great place to hang with the family. The fountain is fun too especially for the kids. Recommended to come here is you are in Sarnia.

Lovely for cherry blossoms this time of the year. We have an annual tradition of cherry blossom photos thanks to this park and these lovely trees! It does tend to be cold due to the proximity to the water but that often means quiet evenings and great photos! I recommend visiting after 5pm.

We visited the Poutine Fest here and the views were great, lots of seating, bathrooms and accessible.

GERMAIN PARK REVIEWS

Took time to relax and stroll through this park recently. The fall colours were beautiful! Yes, the summer months here ensure you experience blooms and blossoms with every step, but the fall is also enjoyable! The entire park is family friendly, great playgrounds, multiple soccer fields and baseball diamonds, lawn bowling, dog friendly fenced areas, paved pathways, great space for walkers and cyclists for sure! Take time to walk or bike in this park, you will thoroughly enjoy it.

This is my favourite park in Sarnia, especially in the warmer months. It is well maintained and offers a lot to do including soccer and baseball areas, beautiful gardens and picnic areas. Everyone thinks of Canatara when you mention parks in Sarnia, but this is the real gem.

The pathways alongside the manicured gardens were very accessible and well maintained. The gardens themselves are well groomed. Look for the meditation garden while you're there.
