There is a fee to get in, bathrooms are available at the main parking lot, the trails are maintained however there is still a bit of tree debris that need caring for. The main trail takes you to a serene place with a set of beautiful cascades that are very soothing to watch.
Beautiful spot for a vibrant Thanksgiving Sunday nature walk with the kids. The weather was perfect and we saw lots of life around us... chipmunks, blue Jays, leopard frogs, wooly bear caterpillars (with small hitchhikers on them...fleas maybe), and our son even spotted a water snake in a pond near the river.
Beautiful forested walk to a wonderful area of the river with shallow cascading waterfalls. The water depth ranges from a few inches to 2 feet, so it is perfect for toddlers to adults. Warm, slowly moving water across flat rock formations, make it easy and fun to wade around.
