Fairmont Hotel Macdonald

Excellent hotel. Consistent in quality. Best in Edmonton IMO. I've stayed here many times. Overlooking the river valley and right beside the funicular, it's got the best location in the city. The gym is large and well-equipped. The salt water pool is excellent. (Though, I have never tried the spa there.) Service is consistently impeccable, accommodating a variety of requests (within reason). Everything is clean and spotless. Rooms are roomy and very comfortable, as are the beds. This hotel is my go-to in Edmonton. Tip: Sign up for All Accor and try to book the promo rates.

Hotel Macdonald is a beautiful well appointed hotel. As you get closer to the hotel is has the best views. The staff is absolutely incredible. So helpful and engaging. This is definitely the place to stay in the city. I have had the pleasure of visiting the entire collection of Fairmont hotels in Canada and this was the last one. I definitely saved this best experience for last! I can’t wait for my next trip to Edmonton.

Fantastic hotel in downtown Edmonton. The hotel has an amazing outdoor terrace overlooking the river, it was a pleasure to drink coffee there in the morning. The cuisine is delicious and beautifully presented. The staff is attentive and the rooms are very comfortable. Definitely the best hotel.
