NUBO JAPANESE TAPAS REVIEWS
We love the food here. Their services is amazing. They are quite attentive and provide the best services where possible. The atmosphere is great. Reservation is recommended. We got lucky they had availability at the bar. We ordered quite a bit of food. The only thing I may not like best is the ramen. The texture is a bit too soft and the bamboo shoots overtakes the miso soup flavour. I loved the tomato curry rice.
All the food we ordered is definitely delicious. The sets menu Have tasty and nice side dish (tasty tempura, miso soup, salad, etc). Ika calamary is crunchy and Good taste. All the food is delicious. The staff also Very kind and helpful.
Delicious food and great service. We enjoyed some great sushi rolls as well as their unagi bowl. The service was also quick and friendly, despite it being a busy evening for dinner. The food was high quality and I was glad to see they had a few Japanese beer options as well.

THE JAPANESE VILLAGE RESTAURANT REVIEWS
We went last night for my daughter's birthday and everything was excellent. The food was very good and our cook, Andrew, was quite entertaining. He really made our experience enjoyable. I felt bad for the people that shared our table because our group was pretty lively and talkative but I guess that's the chance you take with this style of dining. Everything was very tasty and the dipping sauces were a perfect addition to the meats, rice and shrimps. We brought a birthday cake with us and the staff served it after dinner and sang, played drums and even took a photo of our group which they gave us in a cardboard frame to take home. A very nice evening all around, especially if you're celebrating a special occasion.
I had the teriyaki chicken & steak and it was DELICIOUS. Loved the steak sauce so much we purchased a bottle to take home with us. I also super appreciated that they are nut-free :) will be back very soon!!
Great lunch. Tea was great. Tempura appetizer was light and delicious with a great dipping sauce. Mushrooms were excellent with great flavour. The shrimp was delicious and cooked perfectly. The best part by far was the scallops... holy were they to die for. I cannot wait to be back!

EBIZO JAPANESE RESTAURANT REVIEWS
Favourite sushi bar in Victoria. Great location to walk to if you’re downtown, near great shops off government street. Service is always excellent. The atmosphere is quiet and a great layout, not a huge place so at peak times you may have to wait for a table. I’ve purchased takeout as well and quality is still superior to other sushi takeout. A favourite place of mine for lunch. The food is top notch, always peak freshness, excellent presentation as well.
I have eaten at many sushi restaurants and this one definitely places among the very best. The fish was so fresh with a buttery texture, the green tea refreshing and well-presented, the service was excellent and the prices were good. If I lived here I would eat here at least once per week. Highly recommended!
Easily the best sushi I've had in Victoria. Their appies are also large and delicious. The service was friendly and prompt. All this and the price is on par with other sushi restaurants of a lower quality. I left super happy and determined that this is now my new go-to sushi place. A word to the wise b show up early or make reservations.
