Port Coquitlam and Surroundings, Port Coquitlam, BC V3B 0A8

Since 1957

Bridge, Landmark, Cable-Stayed Bridge, Walking, River & Mountains

The bridge includes a 380 m cable stay bridge structure, 126 m of multi-span approaches, a 50 m interchange structure and approximately 2 km of grade construction

Great approaches and exits from the bridge and great views up the Pitt River towards Pitt Lake. This bridge is such an improvement from the old two bridges it replaced and for the most part things flow well on and off. Biggest delays are afternoon rush from PoCo to Pitt Meadows as the light at old dewdney trunk and Kennedy Road slows things down before you hit the next slow down spot at Harris Road.

Great local library. Lots of books/ materials available via FVRL. Building is a bit old but I think it's replaced along with near by sports area within the next few years. Friendly, helpful staff.
