Having Ace from First Light Midwifery guide us through both our pregnancies was the greatest blessing. I always felt heard and like my questions were important. I had two beautiful births that I can only attribute to her believing in me and supporting me in a holistic sense while also providing excellent technical skills for managing shoulder dystocia, tears, hemorrhages, and chest feeding challenges. I have also received cross coverage from Rosalynd during my post partum period and she provided such a similar calm and informative approach. It was so reassuring seeing as I had not met her during the pregnancy phase of my journey. If you are lucky enough to receive care from Ace or Rosalynd, know that you are in good hands.

Dr. Morley is amazing! She genuinely listens to your health concerns, discusses an action plan best suited for you and treats accordingly. I always feel included in the treatments discussed and that my voice is truly being heard. Dr. Morley is very easy to talk to and I feel comfortable every time I am at my appointments. She is also really good with kids and thanks to her my daughters health has improved tremendously! I am so grateful that I chose Dr. Morley!

My partner and I had the fortune to receive midwifery care from Ace Porter at First Light Midwifery, both as the birther and birth partner.With both pregnancy, Ace provided a knowledgeable, and holistic approach to our needs. Throughout the pregnancies, she provided information as needed and respected the decisions that felt right for our family. Ace showed passion, advocacy, and a genuine interest in providing the best care possible for both of us and our babies. During our births, we experienced her calm, confident and respectful care that was a grounding force in the intensity that came with the births. She provided ongoing support and encouragement throughout the process and was prepared for alternative care plans if requested or needed. We will be forever grateful, specifically for Ace's postpardum care and home visits as she suspected our first born needed to be monitored a bit closer at the hospital. Within hours of being admitted to the hospital, we were airlifted to BC Children's Hospital for alternative care. Throughout the stress of our world being rocked, Ace provided postpardum check in care from a distance and advocated for our family. We were able to be with our baby and get the treatment he needed to bounce back healthier, and stronger than before. Ace will never truly know the extent of gratitude that has filled our hearts from this experience. Ace provides inclusive, progressive, and holistic midwifery care with such a passion and knowledge that definitely makes her stand out. She is direct and confident in the care that she provides.
