We are very lucky that this man chose a career in medicine! He certainly could have been anything he wanted as he is brilliant but his patience, knowledge, bedside manner and kindness are so needed by the many, very sick patients he treats. We were very fortunate to have had him as a nephrologist for our dad. Although it's been almost 4 years since he passed, I've come to realize how special this doctor was. Giving us a number to contact him day or night, showing compassion and honesty when we really needed to hear it. My dad respected you and had all the confidence in the world in you. Making the decision to take him off the meds that were making him so sick so that he could have his last few remaining days be amazing, was the best, most treasured advice we could have received. He was himself, laughing, eating and pain free until his quick, peaceful passing. Thank you thank you. You made an extremely tragic loss for our family, that much easier by being with us through it all.
