“Dr. David Hedden completed his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery at the University of Cape Town in 1984. He also completed his residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Manitoba and attained a Clinical Fellowship in Adult Reconstruction and Trauma at the University of Toronto. Dr. David Hedden joined the Department of Surgery, section of Orthopedic Surgery, in 1998 as an assistant professor. He then went on to an internship at Addington Hospital, Natal University Medical School, South Africa, with rotations in Obstetrics and Gynecology, Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, and Medicine. He takes care of each patient and helps them recover from orthopedic-related disorders.

2025 Update: He practices at Concordia Joint Replacement Group. The clinic consists of four fellowship-trained arthroplasty surgeons who perform approximately 1,400 primary and revision hip and knee replacements per year at the Concordia Hospital in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. The education classes at the Hip and Knee Institute are excellent. They should be mandatory for individuals getting hip and knee replacements. The exercises they suggest prior to surgery are so important to a quick recovery. They explain everything you need to know about your replacement and welcome questions. Everyone is helpful and friendly. I can't say enough about their programs.

Great group of professionals. Dr. Hedden replaced my L knee and R hip and it changed my life. Btw, they practice all covid protocols and have a very clean comfortable environment.

Over the years Dr. Colin Burnell has seen me many times. Received one Knee and two Hip revisions. I'm very happy with Dr. Colin Burnell, he is a great Physician, a great Person and very understanding and helpful. He is a Human being, he is treating his patients with respect. I am very grateful to know Dr. Colin Burnell and his Staff. I have the upmost respect for him. His Assistant, Shannon is a compassionate person a real sweetheart. Thank you, for alloying me to walk again.

Had dr Burnell replace a hip 7 yrs ago and he explained everything calmly and in English...very compationate human ,the hip still functioning 100% ,a work of art ,now I'm in need of other hip looked at and can only hope to get dr Burnell again ....the staff were great ...

Had hip replacement December, went from chronic pain of five years to absolutely no pain at all… best Doctor I have ever come across!!
