“Dr. Irene Mestito-Dao holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Manitoba. She has been a volunteer low-vision clinician for CNIB (Canadian National Institute for the Blind) since 1998 and a volunteer clinical director for Special Olympics Opening Eyes Clinics since 2006. Irene Mestito-Dao has participated in various mission trips with TWECS (Third World Eyecare Society) and VOSH (Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity). She is also the Co-Chair of the Conventions Committee and the Public Education Committee for the Manitoba Association of Optometry. She was named Optometrist of the Year in 2013 by the Manitoba Association of Optometrists. In 2014, she was a finalist for Executive of the Year at the Manitoba Filipino Business Council and received the Pinay MB Trailblazer Award in 2020. She joined Henderson Vision Centre 20 years ago and is an experienced and accomplished team member. Henderson Vision Centre has been providing high-quality optometric care for over 40 years. They are genuinely passionate about striving for excellence in patient care and satisfaction.
