“Dr. Kerrie Schoffer completed her medical degree at the University of Saskatchewan, her neurology residency at Dalhousie University, and her movement disorder training at Columbia University. She established both the Movement Disorders Clinic and Huntington’s Clinic at the QEII Health Sciences Centre. Dr. Schoffer is a current executive board member of the Canadian Movement Disorders Group and has authored several publications, including the Canadian Guidelines on Parkinson’s Disease. She is an active member of Doctors Nova Scotia, most recently serving on the IT Steering Committee. Dr. Schoffer also runs a community-based clinic, Nova Neurology, which focuses on clinical care and research in Parkinson’s disease and Huntington’s disease.

2025 Update: Dr. Schoffer received the Michael Wright Community Leadership Award from the Huntington Society of Canada for her work in this area. She is actively involved as a principal investigator in several studies related to Parkinson’s disease and Huntington’s disease.”

DR. RICHARD LECKEY - MARITIME NEUROLOGY REVIEWS

Overall great experience. From the minute you walk into the office, the administrative staff were very friendly and welcoming. This was my first time meeting Dr Leckey and he was excellent. He put me at ease with his knowledge and compassion towards my pain. He conducted an EMG and nerve conduction test and was very careful and tried to be as gentle as possible with my CRPS. His light hearted nature and sense of humour helped ease my anxiety about this appointment and diagnosis. Very knowledgeable. I would 100% see him again if needed.

I adore Dr. Leckey, his is very knowledgable about MS and the latest treatments available to me. I feel better after seeing him, and I wish I could see him more. My GP is not very good, she referrs me to him over items she should be seeing me for but she doesnt care. Dr. Leckey does and with a chronic illness its vital to have a good Medical team. Im lucky to have one of the best neurologists to help me navigate this horrible disease.

I was treated by Dr. Leckey for several years before moving to a different province. He is a wonderful doctor and a good person. Very knowledgeable and understanding, great listener and makes you feel very comfortable.

Cory has been my neurologist for almost 10 years and I am disgusted to see some of these rude comments. My last seizure he stayed in office after his secretary left for thanksgiving to give me medicine directives himself and answered his own phone. The man is an Angel. If he decides you aren’t worth listening too in regards to what he studied for over a decade be darn sure he’s qualified to make that decision.

I was nervous before my first appointment with Dr. Jubenville. Very quickly he put me at ease. I was spoken to like a real person. All my concerns were validated and he explained everything well. He is a compassionate person who seems to really care about his patients.

Dr. Jubenville took the time to evaluate and have a thorough conversation about the results. I found him easy to talk to and he readily answered all my questions. He was pleasant, professional and personable. He alleviated a lot of stress and worry for me, all of which I appreciate.

My dad saw her at the hospital clinic and we were so impressed with the doctor and staff there. The nurse took some initial information and then the doctor followed up. We left with pamphlets and books on Parkinsons and contact information if we had a concern. Would definitely recommend.

Dr. Scoffer looked after my mother for 12 years for her Parkinson's disease. She was always kind and thoughtful, and brightened my mother's day with each visit. Mom was well looked after and did extremely well for many years. Our family is very thankful we had her as mom's neurologist.

Dr. Schoffer has been my neurologist for 12 years. She always asks my thoughts and takes this into account when we make changes. Her nursing staff have been great supports between appointments.
