This place is the best bar in Red Deer hands down over and over again. From fantastic live shows, friendly and welcoming staff to a smoke deck always filled with new friends. If you are in town for a night, don't miss out on a fantastic night at The Vat, play a game of pool, have a drink and tell some stories.

I always love The Vat. Such a neat space with a cool culture. I love going off hours and playing pool with my partner when it's empty. I loved it when I lived in Red Deer and I still love it now that I live in Saskatoon. Great prices, great friendly staff and just such a neat place overall.

This place has always been like home for me! Brian is amazing, Terry is nothing short of a Red Deer legend! The only thing I would suggest is maybe finding a new sound guy. The mix isn't great anymore, but other than that, it will always be home.

Great place to have a drink and hangout with friends. Lots of regulars make it fun to go. Not to sure about the food anymore - use to be great years ago but a few changes in ownerships over the last 3 years. Hopefully back on track to great food Great place to play pool, enjoy meat draws, they have karaoke & jukebox Staff are nice & friendly. Parking can be a pain if events are going on but otherwise good.

Absolutely loved it, went for the karaoke night with my gf and had sooo much fun, everyone was so nice and the food was so good. We did have to wait a long time for the mushroom caps but it was worth it. Highly recommend the porn stars.

Great place to sit back and relax or have a celebration. I came here in the afternoon and the staff and customers were very welcoming. We recently returned to celebrate a birthday and they were very welcoming and polite. Extremely positive atmosphere.

The staff here is so unbelievably amazing. Never had such a great night at a nightclub before. DJ was one of the best I've seen,security was so wonderful and helpful and bartender was the best! Decorations inside are super fun and its really clean. Thanks for an amazing,memorable evening guys!.

Great staff!!! They really put out the positive vibes. And the electronic music they play is a welcome change of pace from the Top40 playlist you hear everywhere else. The DJs are just AWESOME!!.

Great place to spend your weekend. Friendly staff, great music, good drinks. Really enjoy chopping it up with Scuba, Rachel, Connor and the rest of the amazing staff.
