This country bar is a must-visit! From the moment you walk in, you are greeted with a warm and welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. The music here is top-notch. The staff are friendly and attentive, providing excellent service with a smile. Whether you’re looking to kick up your boots on the dance floor or relax with a drink at the bar, this country bar has something for everyone. I highly recommend checking it out for a fun night out with friends or a special date night.

Visited here whilst I Red Deer and honestly what a vibe !!! Great music and excellent bar !!!! Will definitely return and recommend!! Shame I couldn’t get here when they have a band on but the DJ played banging tunes !!! Best club in Alberta.

Have always had a great time at this establishment!! Excellent service and excellent staff you’re sure to have a excellent evening.

This place is the best bar in Red Deer hands down over and over again. From fantastic live shows, friendly and welcoming staff to a smoke deck always filled with new friends. If you are in town for a night, don't miss out on a fantastic night at The Vat, play a game of pool, have a drink and tell some stories.

I always love The Vat. Such a neat space with a cool culture. I love going off hours and playing pool with my partner when it's empty. I loved it when I lived in Red Deer and I still love it now that I live in Saskatoon. Great prices, great friendly staff and just such a neat place overall.

This place has always been like home for me! Brian is amazing, Terry is nothing short of a Red Deer legend! The only thing I would suggest is maybe finding a new sound guy. The mix isn't great anymore, but other than that, it will always be home.

A friend and I popped in after the MAG told us the Velvet Olive would be closing in a few months. It had always been on my bucket list to go so we did. Wonderful service, cozy seating, live music. I mean its perfect. I had a martini and we shared some appies and all were tasteful & perfect. The best martini ive had since 2007. I'm sorry to hear it's closing. It was a wonderful evening. Thank you.

Love the small live music venue. Kind of upset that some bigger groups were talking over the live music, there are plenty of options downtown for socializing if you aren't interested in live music. The staff was excellent, love the upgrades to the venue. The only thing I don't like is the long table with seats on only one side. Makes the other tables crowded.

Great place to have a drink and listen to live music. Folks who run the place, love the place, you feel it. Atmosphere is dark and cozy, there is always local art on the walls, available for purchase, beer selection from local breweries and live shows from local musicians. Come, support, enjoy, this is a great place!
