Dr. Abouali came highly recommended and we completely agree!! The level of care and support received was excellent! We were referred to Dr. Abouali for surgery to address my daughter’s complete ACL tear and partial meniscus tear. During the initial consultation, Dr. Abouali took the time to explain the procedure and patiently answered all our questions about recovery and the return to sports timeline. His approach was thoughtful, caring, friendly and attentive. The surgery went smoothly and was a success. My daughter received clear post-op instructions, and the recovery and rehab protocol were well-explained. Follow-up appointments were thorough, and we always left feeling well-informed about next steps. Throughout the entire process, from consultation to surgery to recovery, Dr. Abouali was patient, kind and responsive, addressing all our concerns with excellent feedback. Overall, we had an extremely positive experience with Dr. Abouali. We are thankful for his skill and expertise which has allowed our daughter to get back to the sport she loves!

I had my second shoulder surgery (arthroscopic Bankart repair with remplissage on my left shoulder) with Dr. Jihad Abouali in March—and I couldn’t be happier with the results. It feels amazing now, and the difference compared to my first surgery (with a different surgeon) is night and day. Dr. Jihad and his entire team are incredibly detail-oriented, punctual, and professional from start to finish. You can tell they truly care about each patient. Dr. Jihad himself is hands-down the best orthopedic surgeon in the GTA—honestly, probably in all of Canada. I feel extremely lucky to have had him operate on me. I highly recommend him and his team to anyone needing expert orthopedic care! If I could give more than 5 stars, I would!!

I had a very positive experience with Dr. Abouali. My surgery went smoothly, and my injury was fully repaired. Both the pre and post operative consultations were thorough, providing clear information that made me feel confident and informed throughout the entire process.

If I had more stars, I would give them! Absolutely great experience with everyone: from Dr Cayen right through to the wonderful staff at Humber River Hospital - I had 1st knee replacement March 14, 2024 and the 2nd one was yesterday (June 6)... excellent recovery from the 1st one and already walking around/taking stairs with a cane only on 2nd knee... so extremely well. In my view, for knee/hip replacements , the better physical shape your legs are in prior to surgery is critical... and consistently doing the exercises /physiotherapy afterwards will make the recovery process MUCH faster!!

I had a total hip replacement surgery last Wednesday. Flew home Saturday morning and feel great today. It’s Sunday morning, no pain, no problem getting out of bed, am walking comfortably with a cane. I had a bit of apprehension about doing this and the cost. My wife and I discussed It and it is the best money we have ever spent. Staff are great and attentive. This is how healthcare should be.

Dr. Cayen replaced my left knee 6 months ago and I feel 15 years younger. The pain I had with arthritis is gone and my activity levels have increased significantly. He is a really great doctor and surgeon.
