3 Best Pediatricians in Toronto, ON

Dr. Papadouris was my childhood pediatrician, that's over 30 years ago. My dad was a single father and used to take me to all of my appointments. She never said anything inappropriate about me coming in with a dad and not a mom. She was usually quiet but always polite and helpful. I never felt scared of her. She allowed parents in the room which was helpful. Her receptionist (I think she was Oxana) was super friendly. I'm happy to see she's still practicing.

Dr Papdouris was the paediatrician for both of my daughters, now adults. They still remember her amazing support and care, even as young adults.

Dr. Papadouris is one of a kind. Yes, you will wait, yes it is an old school office (right out of a time capsule) and yes it can feel like you are unable to establish a warm and fuzzy relationship, which a new Mom may need. HOWEVER, her knowledge (based on experience not a google search) coupled with quality of care and connections to specialists if necessary, are impeccable. Most importantly, if your baby/child is sick and you call in last minute, she will fit you in and won’t make you feel like you are even remotely wasting an ounce of her time. I have 3 kids under 6 and I have called into previous doctors and they have displayed little empathy, even as babies, indicating appointments are booked out 1, 2, and even 3 weeks. I have had to stand my ground for them to be seen (an no it was urgent enough to take up time in an emergency room but also something that could not wait weeks either). To say I am impressed with her level of commitment to her young patients is an understatement. I’ll take the old school approach over technology any day.

Dr. Papadouris had been our children’s doctor for 19 years and she had been a god-sent gift for our family. We said our good byes over last summer as it was time for my youngest to move onto adulthood. Dr. Papadouris mentioned that her office will be moving this year to a new location but didn’t know when. I happened to be in the area and went up to the office to say hello and the office next door mentioned that her office had just moved out. I felt sad that this location will no longer be the same without the hustle and bustle of infants to teens patients coming and going. I just would like to wish her and her staff all the best in their new home. We had been extremely fortunate to have had her care for our children. She’s one in a million and God bless her! - S Reply
