Fantastic small museum. Laid out very nice and the staff were great. It was a great place to visit while downtown Halifax. Highly recommend it if you are in the area. Also a great place for children. They also have a great "huge" patio area where you can sit outside and enjoy the waterfront.
What an amazing gem of a museum! It took me over 2 hours to get through the exhibits and I learned so much about the local maritime history. The cost is very reasonable. Wouldn’t appeal as much to younger children as it’s very reading heavy - would be even more incredible with some more interactive exhibits.
Neat place. Loved the models, especially. They were so intricately detailed. You could tell that a lot of time and effort had gone into their restoration, which was done by a group of volunteers! It was absolutely amazing to see.
