3 Best Recreation Centers in Aurora, ON

Aurora residents are truly lucky to have this place in their neighbourhood. you wouldn't know passing by but this is an excellent Family rec centre. it literally has everything. Outdoor fields, skate park, indoor climbing wall, ice pad, swimming pool, gym, track, full basketball indoor gym, racket ball court , meeting rooms and most amazingly they have a teen zone area with pool table, table tennis, guitars all for free for area residents to use.. Quite astonishing. Many municipalities should take a look at this and how this place is so well run and organised for everyone in the area to enjoy and be active and social. We came to play some racquetball and it was tons of fun.. what a great place.

I began using the AFLC fitness center last year as I needed a change from the conventional gym. Plus it's less expensive. I haven't used a community gym in over two decades, so I wasn't sure how it would be especially being a smaller area with more kids. But I actually enjoy working out in this venue. I've never had to wait for machines, it's clean & everyone is respectful of others & the machines, even the kids. I love to see everyone of all ages engaging in physical activity of some sort!

Our grandson and I went there to play squash. Very nice courts, 4 of them, very clean very friendly service. Court #4 and #2 are glass back wall courts. Court 4 has some nice seating behind it. Great lockers and showers. The prices are unbeatable and you can schedule online booking a court.

Since I grew up in Aurora, coming to this community centre twice a week for hockey was the norm. Now that they've got 2 rinks and the update they did it had come from the 1980's into 2010 without missing a heartbeat. Just because if the memories it for a couple of stars. The rest is for the atmosphere and amenities that makes visiting the Aurora community centre an experience that you'll want the have again.

Aurora updated the community center finally and now it is so much better then before. They have updated the hockey arena so the dressing rooms are bigger and nicer. They have updated the swimming pool and they have added 2 gyms for guided workouts. They have also added a rock wall which you can rent and have some fun. Overall it was good that they updated the place.

Spent lots of time here over the winter for Aurora tigers games watching my brother! The staff are fantastic the atmosphere is great & the entertainment they put on is wonderful. I am looking forward to another year watching great hockey in a great ring!
