We moved our mother into Barton three+ years ago, just before COVID hit. The family guilt was overwhelming but the Barton team took care of each and every resident as if they were their own. They did a fantastic job of keeping the residents safe throughout. Mom was fiercely independent but soon adapted with their help to being more active socially during meals and made several cherished friends. She loved the meals, her weekly room cleaning and many visits by staff to just say hello. The nursing staff helped mom through many harder times, always on top of things and keeping family advised. Management was exceptional, couldn’t do enough for our cherished mom. As a family we soon knew that mom would always be looked after and trusted her in their hands. Living there was like being in a room with cherished friends and family. Thank you Barton staff for loving mom and looking after her gracefully until the end. We’ll never forget you!

The entire team at the Chartwell Barton retirement residence has a single goal of creating a warm and welcoming environment for the residents. The staff demonstrates this same focus with how they treat their vendors. I am fortunate to provide some piano entertainment, and I am always treated with delightful staff and happy smiling residents. Highly recommend you consider Barton and pay a visit.

My mother has been at the Barton for almost 2 months now and has settled in quite nicely. She finds the staff to be very kind and helpful. She's happy with the food and on the rare occasion when she does not like what is being offered, the staff are happy to accommodate and make something else for her. She doesn't have any issues with the fellow residents and has found them to be warm and welcoming. She likes her room and it has been well kept. She has enjoyed the entertainers that have come in and the church services that she has attended. She has been thrilled with the on-site salon and visits there weekly. She has not taken advantage of some of the activities (exercise classes, bus trips, etc.) just yet but hopes to partake in them in the near future.

I was very fortunate to have such a positive experience during my rehab at The Roxborough in April of this year. It is spear headed by Melanie. Melanie was in contact with me from setting the initial meeting to explain what was offered and allowed me to put my possessions in early to accommodate my surgery schedule. The staff on a whole were also very polite as was my case with the night attendants. Bringing more ice at night and adding a couple of cookies to tide me over. I would highly recommend The Roxborough for anyone's recuperation.

I want to thank the management and staff at the Roxborough for making my mother feel like she is part of a larger family. The fun costume parties and other planned events are reflective of the energy and positivity that each and every staff member from dining room to management put forth. The Roxborough has been second to none in maintaining the safety of it's residents during Covid, it has given us great peace of mind that our mother is happy and safe!

The Roxborough has been home to my parents for the past 10 years. Never has it been clearer to me the care and attention they receive from everyone at the Roxborough than over the past pandemic year. The residence's extensive and careful measures have kept my parents safe and well. All the while, the staff and management have consistently taken extra steps to ensure my parents' daily needs are met. Under normal circumstances, not only has the Roxborough felt like home to them, but also to me, my brothers and our families. We have always been welcomed and accommodated.
